No Review

Harry is my HERO. The way he stood up to Dumbledore and said flat out he was have nothing to do with Snape bravo. Harry is my HERO. Oh and the way he handled Percy. I'm making a sigh that say HARRY IS MY HERO.

Loved the last two chapters, particularily the bit with the blanket. It sucks to be in the middle of a breakup. Poor Harry. And I do think DD needs to die before Harry faces Voldy for the last time. He needs to defeat him y himself. Unfortunatly, I think for this to happen, DD needs to die.

Man, I had a lotta catching up to do! But awesome chapters, nonetheless. I really liked Defense Against the Dark Arts for this: "No. I’m certain the meddling bloke will join us at your next lesson. Go find your lady friend and have a snog," Abe said with a grin. That was so funny, because I imagined my own brother pulling a face and reaction much like Ron's. *hahaha* I love my brother. . . And as for the last chapter, I nearly cried when Harry got all that stuff. His baby blanket, and that "award" for Sirius. Oh my goodness. I thought he was gonna lose it again, like in Power of Emotion. But once again, Ginny to the rescue! I'm very interested in those letters, will you be writing more about them? And with the Ron and Hermione situation, well . . . I personally think their both being stupidly stubborn. But I wanna see how you work things out, and I have faith in you Melindaleo. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I was on vacation, so this is two reviews in one. I really feel for Harry and Ginny dealing with the Ron/Hermione break-up. I've been there, and it's no fun. Harry's empathizing with Ron and Hermione's (and Molly's and Ginny's...) feelings very well. I'm not sure if this is intentional on your part or not, but it would be nice if he could realize that he is not rubbish with feelings after all (even though he thinks he is). Girls, yes, but not feelings in general! I am surprised that Abe is still teaching Harry. You haven't talked much about what his qualifications are for this very important job. Just because he's Dumbledore's brother doesn't automatically make him brilliant, does it? I'm just a little curious. You laid out Jonathan's qualifications much better. That being said, I would like to wholeheartedly jump on the 'demented Willie Nelson' bandwagon! Being a Texan, I love Willy! So, is tax trouble going to be the reason that Abe doesn't live in England? The bit with Percy was really funny. I don't think you let Harry kick his butt hard enough. I would have liked to have seen him unconscious at the end of the session! The "Who names this stuff, anyway?" comment was great, too! I also really liked the scene with Madam Pomfrey! It's nice that Harry can joke about these things. Was Harry's "Not this year!" comment a bit of foreshadowing? Please say it was!! Pleeease! I really hate to see him beaten up! The DA meeting was just great. It's about time Harry taught them to say his name. It made me realize just how much Harry knows that most people don't. We just take for granted that Voldemort was Tom Riddle, forgetting that most people don't know that.

Author's Response: You're right, it is no fun to be in the middle of two friends going through a break up. You're right about Abe. I have him all worked out in my head, but I haven't said all that much about his past, have I? After I read this review, I went in and added a bit to the chapter after next as explationation. It didn't work in the next chapter, but it's coming. Thanks for pointing it out to me. I see Abe as working with Albus during the whole Grindelwald war, just Albus choosing to follow the Ministry route, while Abe is more of a rebel.

HI!! I think I'm different in what I look forward to in your stories. I really liked the scene where Harry goes to the hospital wing and pops his head in to say hi, only to find that Madam Pomfrey has given him his own bed! I laughed out loud. I'm also kind of proud of Harry. It's almost like popping in to say hi to the Matron, is like a self assuring thing that he won't necessarily end up here as a patient.........but he is Harry Potter, so if he thinks that, he's probably dreaming! The turmoil surrounding Hermione and Ron is certainly taking it's toll on Harry, and I have to agree with some of the other reviewers of this chapter, that Harry may feel like a child in a divorce situation, even though he himself wouldn't recognize these feelings. Poor kid! I'm glad he has Ginny, his rock. Anyway, fantastic story and I'm really enjoying it!

Author's Response: Hi Dianne. Thanks for mentioning the Madam Pomfrey scene - I liked that, too! YOu're right about Harry being stuck in the middle. But, like Ron said, that's the way it's going to be for a while. I don't think a lot of divorcing parents see how they use the kids against each other. Ron and Hermone won't see right away how they're doing the same thing to Harry.

Brilliant chapter as always... I wish I could write as well as you can. I could see Dumbledore dying but I have a feeling it won't be until book 7 because otherwise the dynamic of the books might change too much. But I too was sooo shocked by it being Sirius in OoTP that I'm not going to comment definitively either way,.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying. I'm the first to admit that I could be wrong - I was with OotP, but for now, my gut is saying it's DD.

Just have to laugh - I just wrote what was in Sirius' box of effects (based on your review) for my own story, and it included a mirror! Perhaps some of your talent is wearing off? I can only hope! While Harry's closest support system is stumbling, it was really nice to see him start to build a new one/or able to realize he's got another one with the professors who are quickly recognizing (if they haven't already) that he a peer. Loved Percy and that gold chain - what an attempt to look older and wiser beyond his years. I love Abe. I thought Harry's reasonings for not wanting Snape showed great maturity. Instead of an argument based out of anger and hatred, he had good valid reasons, especially his first one, the simple reason of Snape not trusting him. It was nice to see Dumbledore respect that. And yes, I can see Dumbledore being the logical choice for beloved character demise. for Harry to truly come into his own, though, I think that has to happen. How do you learn what you are truly capable of until you are on your own? Wonderful stuff! Thank you!

Author's Response: Haha, I'm glad you caught that! Can't you just see Percy doing something like that to make himself look important. Like I said, I think it will be DD. Of course, before OotP, I thought it was going to be Hagrid (for the same reasons she chose Sirius), but I NEVER thought Sirius. So, there you go!

Poor Harry, I really feel for him with Ron and Hermione. Its very unfair of them to bicker at each other through him. What a tough situation. I loved that Harry stood up to DD about Snape sponsoring the DA. The rest of the students shouldn't have to suffer because Snape is a greasy git. The meetings are purely voluntary and I would imagine that attendance would drop if Snape was involved. You Go Harry! As far as the death goes in book 6. Before book 5 was released JKR had commented on a 'horrible' death that she had a hard time writing. Which we all knew that this turned out to be Sirius. However, this time she has said nothing about the character deaths in book 6 only that there would be more deaths in general with the next two books. Because of her silence of who does die in this book I think it will be a relatively minor character, one that isn't quite to close to her to heart. I could be totally wrong and I probably am but that is my thoughts. Cheers and have a great weekend. angie

Author's Response: I agree. Harry and Snape attempting to work together during the DA would spell disaster, and Harry needed to stand on his own to DD. So, it worked doublefold. I believe JKR has said there would be multiple deaths this time, but only referred to one as "beloved", that's the one I'm guessing is DD. I think he's a book cliffhanger ending death, not somwhere in the middle of book 7.

Excellent chapter Melinda. You are awesome. Zach Smith is very annoying in the book and you portrayed him well.
