Oh yes, the magic mind link. I've also been wondering how it works. It has certainly something to do with the necklaces. Will the link be disconnected when either of them lose the necklace? I'm excited about the puzzle's solution.
And again, no comments regarding the female shopping habits. That's another, more difficult mystery. :-)
Author's Response: In every story I feel the need to let the "girl" out in the characters and in this particular story, it came out in a rather detailed shopping fest. As for the necklaces, you'll just have to read along, since the longer Harry and Ginny wear them the stronger their bond becomes. Thanks for reading.

I also meant to mention how encouraging it was for Harry to seek ginnys help in getting to sleep...that shows his growing awareness of the help around and available to him.
Author's Response: Harry sometimes reminds me of my ten-year-old son who still needs to be comforted at bedtime sometimes. I think he seeks Ginny's help because it's the first time in his life that someone wants to willingly touch him, to sooth him since his parents died, and he craves her healing caress. You're right, too, about his growing awareness, but sometimes I just see him falling back into the yearning frame of mind he had as a child. Sleep always comes easier when you know you're loved. Thanks for sharing these thoughts with me.

The girls certainly had a good time choosing their material, trimmings and new dress robes...although I can certainly understand their frustration when it seemed like they would never find what they wanted. Poor Harry missing out once again. I had wondered what his "punishment" would be for the explosions in the potions lab. Is snape back teaching or still being tended by Madame pomfrey? When Harry mentioned not getting to sleep because he was thinking how much he hated potions even without snape, it had made me wonder.
I'm glad his lessons with Remus are going well and appear to be useful. It is good, and very sensible, that Remus and mrs Chang are coordinating their lessons and counselling in order to maximise the help Harry receives.
Author's Response: This was certainly a fun chapter to write because of all the "girly" stuff I could put into it. Believe me, I wrote that part of it from personal experience, having spent endless hours agonizing over the exact things Ginny, Hermione and Luna did. As for Harry, his "punishment" was to miss out on the Hogsmeade visit and to definitely worry about Potions because Professor Snape did go back to work fairly soon after the Sticking Solution dried and flaked off. Reading the story now, I see that I've dropped that little part of the story and should have tied up that loose end. Oops. And yes, it is nice for Harry's teachers to coordinate their lessons and such in a much calmer environment than he had in fifth year. Thanks for noticing. Thanks for writing to me.
