I don't like that they took her last name away though. This was an especially good chapter! Reviewer: Chreechree Signed Date: 2006.02.02 - 04:24AM Title: Chapter 24: Simple To Deceive HA HA HA HA! I know that you published this before HBP came out which makes this all the more fun. The Sword of Gryffindor is basically a horcrux! Well done! Obviously, there are differences, but it is such a similar idea... and since many people in fandom have theorized that the sword is a horcrux, that makes this even more delicious. Give yourself a big pat on the back for this one.
This story is fabulous. I swore to myself that I wouldn't get so wrapped up in it that I wouldn't read the whole thing tonight and not sleep, but I can't resist. It's too good to stop. Very, very interesting - loved Ron's comment about wishing Moody hadn't retired...again!
The explanation of the the fractured spirit was really good - the idea that V.'s magic is still around not his body - well done! Malfoy was just a big fat herring. He was showing up all over the country to confuse the aurors.
Now who could have the sword? I am leaning towards Pettigrew, I can't remember if you have mentioned him in the story or if he died or not. If he is still alive he could have easily stolen the sword while he was an animagus, H/G wouldn't have noticed him, OR, someone could have been watching the final duel between Harry and Voldie and been hiding under an invisibility cloak and picked up the sword and hid when Harry and Ginny were distracted.
Ohh I just love this.
Thanks,
