Poor Harry, getting beaten up by ginnys brothers...the picture in my head was not nice, of bill and Charlie holding his hands behind his back so the others could freely hit him...right bullies they were:-(

Big question here: in Chapter Fifteen, Harry and Ginny were on the cover of the DAILY PROPHET, in reference to her having claimed him to be the father of her child, despite the article's implication that she was so promiscuous it could have been anyone's baby. Ginny throws down the paper without finishing the article, so I don't know if the article mentioned her marriage to Harry; so, it's possible that Mr. & Mrs. Weasley might not have heard about that part. However, it was right there in black and white that Ginny had given birth to a baby. So, how could the Weasley grandparents have possibly missed such a big news story involving their grand-daughter? Do they not take (i.e., subscribe to) the PROPHET? Were they out of the country on holiday? Maybe their delivery owl was intercepted? Maybe they don't believe anything that Rita Skeeter writes?

Another question I had a number of chapters back, but I forgot to ask: Why didn't Hermione harangue Harry about him saying he wanted nothing to do with Ginny and James SHORTLY AFTER the incident in Common Room? I can understand her going to Ginny right after it happened, but by the next day, the normally bossy and blunt Hermione should have given Harry a tongue-lashing and brow-beaten the truth out of Harry about his unpardonable behavior. Only giving him "the silent treatment" and dirty looks seems a little too passive for Hermione. Maybe, in a scene not included in the story, she did try to verbally beat it out of him and he was just really stubborn and wouldn't answer her questions. That's all I can think of. Oh, and it IS their NEWT year. Maybe she was distracted by all of her studying. Those answers don't seem to very likely to me, but I can't come up with anything better to explain this lack of active response on Hermione's part.

Poor Harry. I'm not saying he's at all perfect in this story, but it's pretty awful to have five of your brothers-in-law physically gang up on you. They should at least have had the class to attack him one at a time, so that he stood a "fighting" (sorry, couldn't resist :-) ) chance of defending himself. (At worst, he might have, at least, shielded himself from some of the blows.) I really hope they feel at least SOME contrition when they find out Harry's rationale behind his separating from Ginny and James. (Please tell me that they will learn that Harry was trying to protect his family, in his own misguided way.) The important thing they should focus on is that he was brought to his senses and regretted his actions completely.

I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed how you've written Molly. Her strident, overbearing over-protectiveness has been so much better in this story than it sometimes is in fan fiction. Unless I've forgotten something, she has been very supportive of both Harry and Ginny since they married and gave birth to James. Even when her sons were wanting to throttle Harry (both when Ginny was still pregnant and after they found out about Harry having left Ginny and James), Molly was as accepting of and understanding with Harry as Arthur (who almost always gets to be the "nice" parent in both fan fic's and canon). So, my point is that I appreciate that Molly was portrayed so kindly in this story, since she doesn't always get the same treatment as Arthur. (In fact, she's sometimes depicted as almost cruel in how much she interferes in Ginny's life, with the best of intentions, of course.) I really loved it in this chapter when Harry realized how hard her day had been, and he expressed his love for the woman who'd always treated him like a son with his hug, kiss, and calling her "Mum." That was such a satisfying moment, and I'd hoped that Ginny would reference it with him later on, acknowledging how thoughtful that was of Harry. Maybe it will come up in one of their later conversations.

Yet again, this was a fantastic story. Even though I haven't always left comments with my chapter reviews, I want you to know how much I've enjoyed this story. I rank it up there with my favorite fan fic's of all time.

Author's Response: First, let me say I greatly enjoying seeing your reviews and reading your thoughts. They are very refreshing to read especially after it's been so long since I finished this story. To answer you're first question about Ginny's grandparents, I believed I had thought it my head that they reason they hadn't know was they were on a holiday and simply didn't take the news during that time and somehow it had slipped my mind when writing and posting that chapter. As to Hermione not getting on Harry's case, that scene never quite made it in for some reason, but rest assure she had tried to get it out of him and Harry was being too stubborn to talk. Again, I really to enjoy reading your reviews and thank you so much for taking the time to read and leave such lovely reviews!

erm... there was something i wanted to say... i know there was... erg!... umm... awesome chapter... i love that james is doing magic so early. not suprising, considering his parents... the weasley matriarch is truly awful! how could you be like that to your only granddaughter even if she did something that you didn't agree with? i do think its sad though that the potters had to eat seperatly from the weasley clan... it kind of made it seem like they had been half-shunned. i'm glad though that mr. weasley sr. is nice and truly loves ginny. i have no idea if i've said what i wanted to but i've said a lot. i love this story! (sorry for the randomness at the beginning)
