I have to agree with the others, I dont see his nobility extending that far. Alcohol and hormones, combined with natural emotions? And now I just feel bad for them, they didnt do anything and even their parents think that they should have :P
Still enjoying the story and looking forward to more.
Author's Response: I will say this: There is an in-story reason that Ginny let him off the hook so easily, and you'll all find out in a couple of chapters.
On the other hand - think of how pent up they'll get over the next eleven days! Thanks for the review!

Hee! I love that Neville is a big pimp! How fantastic that Harry doesn'tw ant to sleep with ginny in her parenst house and they aren't even mad about when when they think that Ginny and Harry have slept together :) I think it was a good idea that they not sleep together that night as who wants their first time to be awith a ahalf drunk boyfriend? Please update soon :)

As for Ginny and Harry, well, this is fiction, so we get to make the first time as perfect as we want to. As for Molly and Arthur - they're not stupid. They know what Harry and Ginny are to each other, and they were young themselves once, after all. Thanks for reviewing!

I really don't see Harry carrying this "nobility" complex this far. It is a bit unrealistic for him to pass up the chance to express his feelings for Ginny, to be normal with her and feel normal about himself.
Plus, no one likes to be rejected, especially in that scenario. She has been seemingly rejected by Harry on so many levels. You point out a rather monstrous and needless rejection that Ginny endured with Harry's pointless break-up. I think she would have been embarrassed, and deeply hurt by his denial of her while she is naked in his arms, giving herself to him. Once again, he thinks of others over her feelings and needs. Once again, consideration for her comes second. Once again, what he thinks is best takes priority and she is not consulted about it, but merely has to accept his decision. She deserves more and deserves to be first. She should have kicked him out of her bed and her room!
And, once again, what Harry has imposed on her was for nothing - her parents think they have slept together anyway!
Poor Ginny! She deserves more!
Author's Response: It wasn't just the reasons Harry gave, although they were the main ones. Also, Ginny's very respectful of her parents as well, so while she may not agree, she can certainly see his point of view. I don't think she wants their first time to be with them both half-drunk and their inhibitions lowered, either.
I can see your point of view, don't get me wrong, and you're right, there is a paralell there. If we know nothing else from canon though, we know that Ginny is extraordinarily forgiving when it comes to Harry. This almost has to extend especially to intimacy, which, given Harry's upbringing, is something he's still far behind the curve on.
Don't feel too bad for Ginny, though - Harry will still have the chance to get things right!

Well, I think that this may take Harry's nobility to the stretching point! Nonetheless, this story remains one of my very favorite post-DH tales. The relationship between Harry and Ginny is captured perfectly. Keep up the good work.
