Hey Patrick,
I've been rereading this story because I noticed the parallels between it and your new story. I'm completely fascinated. This seems to be a very complicated parallel, with glimpes of the new in the old. I still don't have a clue about the orb and the blue light. With the new story starting off with dead Harry and a wish, it really has me wondering. Are these alternate realities? Whatever they are, you have me hooked on both.
I just finished rereading sweet 17 and it really was beautifully done. I particularly enjoyed the bookended parallel after 30 years of marriage. Lovely.

and extending a wee branch to malfoy - i bet that will be interesting in the next few chapters!!!

life willbe no fun for them if there is not a life theating situation....glad harry has the balls to give a branch to malfoy but he does not diszer it at all...kutgw

Great chapter! I had forgotten about the dream that I liked so much, you have to go back to that and somehow make it happen, it was a really good start to redoing canon. Of course, in this one you mention Harry being older when he fought Voldemort in his visions. That's very interesting, I guess I'll have to wait and see how you incorporate all of it. I have to admit, I don't really like Romilda being hot, that's going to creat conflict. And seriously, did Tonks somehow have a sister, if not, I think that's what you want us to think. At first I thought she could somehow be related to Harry, but when he mentioned the Tonks resemblance, it seemed to stick to that. Anyway, like I said, great chapter, keep up the good work!
Author's Response: I'd love to answer those questions - both about the dreams, and Cordy, but, sadly, that would give away the plot! You ARE asking the right questions, though!
I will say, though, that that particular dream, where Harry meets Ginny and Ron at the same time will probably be the basis of my "retelling canon" story - if I ever develop it enough to write it. Thanks for the review!
