My goodness. You really know how to describe scenes, actions, sceneries so well that you are painting a very clear picture with an excellent storyline.

That orb is giving me the heebie-jeebies...I hope it's not going to be too long before you let into some of what on earth it's about. At the very least, it might be nice to know whether it's supposed to be there, or Harry just got hold of it by accident.
So...Cordelia Riddle...this is going to be an interesting year, and no mistake.

Cordy Riddle...now that's interesting. I loved Harry's willingness to let her prover herself. I like his obvious leadership of the school now, and his acceptance of that position. I feel a bit sorry for Malfoy (shocked I'm saying that in a way, but he always a "love to hate 'em" type, like Snape). The blue orb is disturbing, but makes for an intriguing mystery.
I can't do sorting hat songs. Not even in canon. As for the evil being "led astray"...it rhymed, but makes little sense. How can you lead evil astray? By pointing it to do right? Evil never fades? Nope, can't agree with that one either. However, it is an nice, ominous setup for poor, long-suffering Harry and co.
Very enjoyable story. All the details about Harry's improvements to the castle, the Fawkes monument (love it!) and the wards that feel like Harry to those who know him well are wonderful. Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks! I thought Harry had to be accepting his status by now, so I like that part. And if you're feeling sorry for Malfoy - well, good, I'm doing my job!
As for evil being led astray, well... that'll make sense later. As far as it never fades - well, it's an old question. If there's no evil, is there any good?
The wards idea just came out as I was writing, I didn't plan it, but it's one of my favorite things now. Thanks for the review!

wow, so cordy a riddle. you know some how i don't get the feeling that she's voldie granddaughter or daughter. i'm guessing she is related to Voldemort but I don’t think she’s his direct descendant I think that either tom riddle senior had a another son and that that son is cordy grandfather or that merope riddle had another baby.
those are my guesses.
other then that i can't wait for the next chapter.

Yay! You're back, and with a brilliant chapter. This one feels like a promising start to a whole new HP adventure, like JKR decided to bless us with another book. You nailed the Sorting Hat song, and the new 'Riddle' was a terrific twist. Funny too--"binned Binns" is right up there with the "feeling Holy" line from George in DH. Speaking of DH, did Trelawney die, or did you decide to bump her off? So many characters were dropping like flies toward the end, I just don't remember...will have to go check. Can't wait for the next installment!!
Author's Response: Thanks. My goal with this story is basically my version of 'Book 8' - so that's pretty much what I'm going for. "binned Binns" is oh-so-bad, but it does make me laugh.

of course it is their business! Maybe he was right to stop Ron from questioning her in the Great Hall, but I definite think some questions should be answered in the common room later!

Wah! Too much! Too much! Information overload!
First of all--Riddle? Whoa Nelly! That's, like, omgomgomgomg--for lack of a better, er, word. I liked that Harry accepted her, though. But! I'm still waiting to find out more about this innocent-seeming girl. Firstly, she can't possibly be related to Tom, as he had no heirs and he decimated the rest of his family--unless Morfin or Marvolo had an affair of some sort? In which case, that would make her the Heir of Slytherin. Can she speak Parseltongue? (apologies if I spelled that wrong; I'm sick--nevermind. I double-checked.) Whee! I'm so excited to learn more about her character!
I also loved Hermione swearing! It was justice! Hehe.
Nice staff. Particularly the Muggle Studies teacher :P Can't wait for some more Teddy action!
Lovely writing... although I find that you use "drug" for the past tense of "drag." I'm not British, so I don't know if that's correct across the sea, but to my knowledge, I thought the past tense was "dragged."

So, a little more mystery about his dreams, the orb is maybe giving him a look at an alternate reality that will never come to pass, or maybe? I dunno, I'm confused, but in a good way. I don't think I ever expected a Riddle, but then again, it's fitting since this fic is kind of like a riddle. Anyway, great chapter, keep up the good work!
