Harry's balancing act on the broom was very impressive. Of course that trick was only part of the movie of PS, not canon. Still, the oakshaft was a lovely touch. it was like a boy being interested in a vintage car.

The bedroom in the big house sounds lovely, especially with the roses outside the window. Love the way Harry keeps on teasing about Cauldron Scrapings.

It was sad when he was talking about Snape's worst memory and why he had wanted to talk to Sirius. And even sadder when he mentioned that Sirius was just his. Ginny is certainly getting to know the real Harry. At least he can discuss emotions with Ginny and not feel like a total prat as he would with Ron.

I loved how he was watching her on the bed, with the rose against her cheek and her hair spread out. I think HArry is falling under Miss Weasley's spell. And she is still distancing herself whenever she thinks about it because she is so embarrassed about her early crush.

And this cow is beginning to worry me. What cow eats sandwiches, or roses come to that. And I think it would be a bit difficult to mistake a person in a cloak for a cow. Me thinks this bovine IS an animagus.

Lesley~

Author's Response: Oh, yes, Harry is falling hard - and it's Ginny's pride that is keeping her from acknowledging her feelings. I'm not sure if I had seen movie!PS when I wrote this. It was out in theatres, but I didn't see it until video. JKR does mention standing on brooms in Quidditch Through the Ages, so perhaps I got the idea there. I'm not fond of the movies because of the characterization - but I do like the Quidditch scenes, even if they are embellished. Yes, interesting cows they have in England! :) Thanks for reading!

I miss the action too! There doesn't seem to be much happening in the story so far , other than the big runaway start. But it's still interesting. It's kind of like in the books when Harry stays with the Weasleys and doesn't do much except share their life. I think that's a nice way for the characters to get to know each other. Anyway. You have me hoping there actually was someone sneaking around the house, just so there'd be a little action! And does it seem a bit contradictory that Ginny says she wants things for herself and that she doesn't like to share, but at the same time never wanting to be alone, and not wanting to experience the stone circle on her own and such?

Author's Response: Yes, it is contradictory, but then we're not always consistent creatures! :) I think Ginny wants to be independent, but I don't think she wants to be lonely. She isn't used to being alone, having been raised in such a big family. I think that is one of the reasons the diary was such a lure for her. There isn't a lot happening, except for H/G falling in love. It's a lot easier to do that when you're not running away from Death Eaters!

I just love everything so much that I don't know what exactly should I comment on =) I applaud you for your updating speed again, thanks for not letting us wait for long. You weaved the entire story so far beautifully, the chapters are well interlinked. Looking forward to your next chapt again.

Author's Response: The next chapter is finally here! I hope to stay on schedule - now that the holiday traveling is over!

whoa! can't wait for next weekend's update! ^_^ i hope aunt martha gives ginny her own new broom..gosh, you authors are much kinder to the characters (and to the readers, as well)! i love the part when they're in the bedroom with ginny smelling the rose and harry commented that she looks like the girl in the car adverts..(was it car or broom ad? coz ginny thought about broom ads, and it did not quite connected to harry's preceeding comment..well, i must have misinterpreted it ^_^ ) great job as always! keep it up!

I'm melting into a puddle of happy goo! You have me so giddy and grinny. I was laughing so hard when Harry brought Ginny the shampoo. I love all of your previous stories, and you are doing well keeping to that. You are one of the few author's on my favorite authors list that I check for updates regularly. *Hugs* you are awesome :-) And an idea, If you go into the school year or ever do a sequal or another story, have Harry give Ginny something, like chocolates or chocolate frogs with cauldron scrappings on the lable, that would be great.

Author's Response: I've never written an epilogue for a story before - but I think this story will need one. I'm thinking along the lines of your idea!

Hello, it's me again. A house elf? Well, here you go....*hands you an adorable house elf* He's pretty young. Mr. Arpie has big blue eyes and wonderful ears. He enjoys long walks on the beach when he's on a vacation and he loves chocolate. He's very loyal and also a worcaholic (spelling?). I think you'll like him. Oh and he does the best coffee....you won't regret. Ok, let's get serious now...This chapter was great. Like always. i actually can't really comment on something because everything fits, everything's right. The stone circle is perfect, I loved the night scene with the cow. Something makes me think that cow is more than meets the eye...well, we'll see about that. Maybe she's an animagus! Well, can't wait for the next update. I hope it happens fast. Oh right, next weekend. I can live with that. I'm trying to post my story for a couple of weeks now, but my beta readers still didn't email me my chapters back so it's hard. Well, what can I do? I think the way you know England and all is a really big advantage. I don't so I find it much harder to describe it all because I don't live there nor have I ever been there, but something about England fascinates me and I want to live there one day. Ok, enough of my ramblings on about nothing. This chapter was good like always. *pats your back* great job *thumbs up*

Author's Response: I love the house elf ( although he looks like my mother-in-law and cooked the best Thanksgiving dinner). I have been to England twice and Scotland four times - I would go back in a heart beat. I also did a lot of research to make sure my memories were accurate. You must go someday!

You hate me don't you...LOL...Kidding...How could you leave me me sitting at the edge of my seat, please write more, it's getting more and more better by the second. Wait, don'y hurry, don't let us pressure you, just keep you pace, not JK pace now, don't make us wait for three years...LOL...Great job, again.

Author's Response: Don't worry - I really want to get to the fluffy parts myself - but they will be so much better with a *little* wait.

I hope the part about waking up to green eyes is foreshadowing, and the part about being widowed isn't. I kind of miss the fast-paced action of the first chapter, but this not-doing-much talking stuff is ok too, and you did advertise your story as being fluffy. Enjoy your thanksgiving...

I started this over at Phoenix Song and then discovered that you are one chapter ahead here. Yay!!! This chapter was so romantic and I can finally see a glimmer from Harry that he is falling for our girl. There were too many good things in this chapter to possibly comment on them all. Everything from the stone circle, to Quidditch, to touring the manor, and Harry finally getting a clue. I loved it all and can't wait for more. I'm also hoping that Aunt Martha gets Ginny that new broom! Nice job!

Author's Response: I think Harry is realizing a few things - and Ginny certainly deserves a new broom! (and Harry, of course!)

Another excellent story. I'd have to say this is my favorite of your stories yet! Do you know about how often you'll be updating this one? I hope it's soon. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this story through till the end. I am kinda frustrated that Ginny and Harry haven't kissed yet. Will it be soon? (PLEASE say yes!)

Ohh- that was a great chapter. I don't know why- but something about this sotry appeals to me. You have a brilliant talent for capturing little everyday things which most writers don't. Definately one of my favourite stories- can't wait for the next update!

It's stories like this that make it difficult for me to read fan fiction. I mean it is really unfair to have to read this story and then try to find something else equally as involving (which is quite hard to do). I've read your previous stories and continue to appreciate you as an author. This story is quite well done, my favorite of yours in fact, and I find myself anxiously awaiting further updates. While this story makes me upset, realizing how there are so few good stories in progress currently, I can't help but say thanks for the continued entertainment that you provide. So thanks, and I look forward to future chapters.

Author's Response: I'm glad you like this story - and don't despair! I think JKR will have H-BP out by spring. Then think of all the new fan fic!

Brilliant! I loved the description between Harry and Ginny upon finding Harry's new room. I could almost smell the roses. Very fun dialog in this... playful, yet genuine. Did Harry 'talk' to Aunt Martha about complimenting Ginny? She seemed so sensitive all of a sudden... and he was there. My favorite was the night rose garden scene... I wonder about the cow. An OOP minder? Is it Tonks? I also thought the surfing!Harry was wonderful, as well as the stones visit. There was so much in this chapter to love. I think Aunt Martha really likes Harry, and is in match-maker mode. hee-hee

Author's Response: No - Aunt Martha just says what's on her mind. In chapter five - which you are going to love by the way, you find out more about Aunt Martha and her life. Harry was silently agreeing with Aunt Martha's compliment, since he hasn't learned to say those things himself. How could Aunt Martha *not * love Harry?
