What a lovely surprise for Ginny to have her mother visit. Harry too, He is so typically male isn't he? But very sweet.

Ginny was wonderful in a crisis and her potion making skills are excellent. I was a little distressed that no-one really was all that worried about Lotty. Aunt Martha was put to bed and made comfortable but Ginny only attended to the house elf because Martha asked her too. Then they just left her lying on the floor and all Harry could do was look aghast and ask if she was dead! I think he only carried her upstairs because she made the kitchen look untidy. And Ginny only related how worried she was about Martha to her mother. And Molly didn't even check on the house elf. Hermione would have been horrified!
All of the details about Ginny's name were interesting. Molly put a lot of thought into a girls name and it stuck around for 11 years before Ginny was born.

Lesley~

Author's Response: Poor Lotty can't speak - but she was unconscious most of the time, so at least she was feeling no pain. Ginny never grew up with house elves so it's hard to say how much she would have agreed (or disagreed) with Hermione. It's hard to say how Molly would have come up with such a name, but they must have had one in mind for many years while they produced their family. Thanks for reading!

YES! YES! YES! Hopefully some nice kissing in the next chapter. And I'm glad Mrs. Weasley came to visit. Wonder what she told Harry...anyway, great chapter! Loved it.

Author's Response: next chapter, with kissing, coming soon!

Awesome! That was the best chapter yet - and that's saying something! I can't wait to see what happens next with Harry and Ginny. And PLEASE don't make it one of those 'they almost kiss, but don't because it's an evil cliffie' kinda things. Anyway, enough with my ramblings. Update soon!

Author's Response: I might like cliffies - but I would never be coy - chapter seven is the magical one- in fact I called it "The Patronus Kiss." It should be out on Friday sometime.

*smiles* oh that was a wonderful chapter and the next looks very promising. :-) I love the way Harry knows how to deal with Aunt Martha and takes care of her like that. I notice a lot of people commenting on the Ginny/Martha interaction but personally I find her relationship with Harry to be more... captivating I guess... I think there is something to be said for seeing their relationship from Ginny's POV. Seeing the relationship without being privy to the details of their interaction somehow highlights it for me.

Author's Response: I've really enjoyed seeing Harry form another point of view as well. He really is kind of an intriguing person - especially when you don't know his thoughts and have to figure him out by what he says and does.

OK Saint, another great read (Hey, I LIKED the cyrsalys charm)- I do hope that Aunt Martha realizes she needs those two around to take care of her and to inherit the farm (not buy the farm), finds out she can not change the will so it must go to a Weasley/Hathaway family member (who must be married!) I can just see Harry and Ginevra settling down to run the estate, opening up the big-house and raising up lots of little red/raven-headed children! Oh- I do hope you write out the next 20 years or so. Excellent story most favorite author

Author's Response: Oh, that is a nice idea. I do have a married H/G fic. in a notebook somewhere - hmmm.

hey Once again you have posted a truly wonderful chapter. I couldn't help but think that in the middle of the chapter, Harry and Ginny were acting like a normal married couple. I loved the fact that Harry was kind of flirting with Ginny. But it makes me wonder what Mrs Weaslry whispered in his ear. Any way, please keep on updating.

Author's Response: Yes, it was fun to have H/G play house - and then have Molly come so they didn't have the responsibility of real house.

Hmm. I don't mean to be negative, but my inner skeptic will not be denied . . . I'm not entirely sure I can see Harry flirting with Ginny so openly, after they've only been here a few days. He doesn't have a whole lot of confidence with the ladies (and he ran off on her in the last chapter, didn't he?), and it seems sort of out-of-character. I didn't quite catch this the first time I read, for some reason. Maybe I was too drawn in by the prospect of upcoming fluff! *snort* Must be losing my touch. Constant vigilance . . . okay, I'll shut up now. This really is a great story, anyway . . .

Author's Response: Bah, ha, ha! Welcome to my fluffly web - where even the most skeptical start to grow dewey-eyed . . . If you rotate that magical eye back to the "flirting" scene, you will notice that this was not typical drawing room fare. Ginny was telling him off - standing very close and clutching his arm. He basically tells her to lighten up and then she - out of the blue - says she wants to spend time with him for fun. Suddenly he looks happy - that's when Ginny puts two and two together (finally) and that's when she blushes. That blush is what our dear boy has been waiting for (I think he's been waiting for it subconsciously since Hermione told him Ginny had given up on him) Not being shy or stupid, Harry throws out the Patronus idea - another blush. No wonder he grinned - he's had nothing else to think about for the past week! Remember this is Ginny's point of view - she doesn't know if it was an effort for him to throw that Patronus idea out there. And you know why he ran away the last time - he's a gentleman after all. If you still don't believe that Harry can deal with the ladies - go back to his date with Cho - all is going well until she starts to play games - talking about Cedric and Roger Davies etc . . . That's the kind of flirting/hidden agenda thing that Harry doesn't do well with. But I think he can correctly interpret Ginny's honest response that she wants to spend time with him. I'd also say that Harry isn't going to hide his feelings if he thinks it is safe to show them. Why can't he grin at her and tell her to "think about it?" He's being a little cocky - but then Harry is a little cocky sometimes. (reason #999 to love Harry) Can't wait to see how you and Sir Skeptic like the next chapter!

Oh, dear. I'd been thinking more along the lines of "non-existent" than "small" when it comes to that particular trait of Malfoy's, but seeing as neither of them are likely to check anytime soon I won't argue to point . . . Oh, yes. What *is* it with boys not knowing where things are? Seeing as I'm one hell of a lazy git myself I ought to have an answer, but what can I say? We just . . . don't care? Maybe? Cut us some slack, here. Doesn't Harry seem pretty cheeky today! "Think about it." Seems he's recognised his effect on the fair lady, all right. I daresay I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out for them, and to see how Ginny is able to put her knowledge of the Patronus to use. Those hired men of Malfoy's can't be too far away, I'm guessing. When Ginny had to take care of Aunt Martha and Lotty, I wondered at the sudden appearence of healer!Ginny, but breathed a sigh of relief when she said she didn't want to do that professionally. Mrs. Weasley's visit was very nicely done here, particularly the part where she was talking about Percy and how she wondered about raising her kids. Keep up the great work! Good to see Ginny realising some things by now,

For some reason, most fanfics which mention Ginny's future post-Hogwarts career tend to make her a healer. That's why I think it's interesting that you have Ginny flatly state that she does NOT want to be a healer. In that case, I am curious about what Ginny's aspirations really are. It was nice to see Molly make a quick appearance. Oh, and speaking of Weasleys, I wonder whether you saw JKR.com and found out that today is Bill Weasley's birthday. It is a coincidence, I assume, that you happen to mention Bill in this chapter (the comment about Bill expecting that the name Ginevra wouldn't be necessary). As usual, I can't wait to see the next chapter, even if it is most likely all fluff. (Patronus Kiss?)

Author's Response: I had this written before I left for Thanksgiving - so it was a happy coincidence with Bill Weasley's birthday. This whole Ginny as a Healer thing always bugged me because she is shown as the saintly, patient, calm person who never thinks of herself, etc . . . I just don't see her that way, I'm afraid. I did want to address the Healer thing because that is one of the ancient meanings for "white woman." Ginny did heal - but it was not without toil and stress on her part - and I can see why she would want no part of it right now. Who is to say what she would do later? Still, I can't see her enjoying the hospital routine - she wasn't enthralled at St. Mungo's. It's like Harry being a good DADA teacher - in a pinch he stepped up to the plate - but is that really his temperment? The whole school routine, correcting papers, dealing with the junior Malfoys, etc . . . These are all great questions - about the characters because what you do with your talents and who you love are two of the most important decisions you make in your life. Oh Jim, the fluff in the next chapter. I hope you've read enough of my stories to develop a tolerance!

Oh! That was really good! And the best thing was that I had two chapters waiting for me, I love authors who write fast ;) Hehe, can't wait for them to practice on that Patronus..hehehhe :D Update soon, this story is just getting better and better!

Author's Response: I don't write fast - but when I'm in a WIP - I write everyday - no matter what. Being the impatient sort, I like to know the ending too!

Author's Response: Thanks for you consistent reviews, rach! Chapter seven is written but I'm still not happy with one part of it. It should be ready by Friday.

Oh SNAP, I am reallly really in love with this story. I love the way Harry is making these comments towards Ginny!! Even thought the "aunt Martha" plot seemed a little weak at first, I think you managed to pull it off wonderfully. This story is fast becoming one of my favorites! :) ~Neha

Author's Response: I'm glad Aunt Martha is growing on you - new characters in the HP universe can be hard to stomach. I just think of her as a quintessential Weasley and she seems to fit right in.

The Elizabeth Crocker Potions Book., I'm guessing that Betty wasn't available? lol, fantastic chapter! I agree, Harry is really getting more obvious, which makes it all the more fun! I am thrilled that there will be fluff in the next chapter - it's my fav. thing in the whole wide fan fiction world! Insquequo terminus, amanda

Author's Response: Same here! I love my fluff!

I'm really looking forward to the magical chapt 7 =) And I love every bit of the fluff in this chapt, and the Arm always make me laughs =) I'm glad Percy turns around, he's a Weasley after all, and I just adore the family. Oh, Molly's right, Ginny should write a book if she ever discover why boys/men often forgotten where they've place theire stuff =P

Author's Response: Yes - the arm - attatched to Harry - Ginny has to take the entire package - and I think she is starting to realize that now.

I swear I must have done something right this weekend. To get another update in only 3 days? ;-) I have to say that I think Ginny is selling herself short in stating she doesn't want to be a Healer. She handled herself perfectly in the crisis she was presented with. By the way I've read somewhere that Ginevra is actually connected to the juniper tree which supposedly has healing qualities. I'm still curious about the Rue in Ginny's wand, her affinity for water, and what exactly the Jarvey will be saying about the Ferret. I liked the interaction between Molly and Ginny. It was kind of like one of those moments when you see a passing of the torch. I have to agree with Melinda about Harry and the kitchen. Thanks to the Dursleys Harry is probably the most domesticated male in Hogwarts. Of course I could just chalk it up to his unfamiliarity with Aunt Martha's kitchen. I'm curious as to what Molly whispered in Harry's ear as well. Does Molly know something both Ginny and we don't know? Ginny is starting to get a clue, but Harry is so obvious at this point that its almost painful. So are we looking at 3 days until chapter 7 or will it be a Friday post? I definately think you could do a sequel to this (but maybe switch to Harry POV) describing what happens during the 6th year.

Author's Response: I have written chapter 7 called, oddly enough, The Patronus Kiss. I'm still tweaking it because it is important to get the fluff right. (I obviously should have tweaked the Harry-looking-through-the cupboards bit.) Yes, Ginny and the Healer thing - obviously she handles it well - but she found it stressful. That can be a great incentive for a career or not. I think if Molly has been telling Ginny all along that she should be a Healer - Ginny has resisted it for just that reason. That's another one of the awful things about being 15 - not knowing what you really want to do - or should do. A few more experiences like Ginny had in this chapter and maybe she'll have a better idea.
