The showers are tonight! And it made me think of your story :D I havent reread it all but enjoyed the last two chapters :D
I love the freedom Aunt M gives them without letting them have too much with the rule about when to come inside ;)
Love Ginny 'waking' Harry from his sleep, so sweet I love moments like that between them.
I also find it refreshing that neither is perfect, they get stroppy and insecure over things, rather than the fluffy, sickly sweet perfect relationships you read about where they never snap at each other, argue or feel insecure etc. The sentiment behind Harrys gift is lovely and I'm glad Ginny saw that, but I actually enjoyed reading Harry making it about him, shows he isnt perfect.
Author's Response: It's rainy here, so no showers are visible, but I always think of Ginny's birthday and celebrating with a night out under the stars whenever I hear about the Perseids. I'm glad you remembered that scene and that you liked Harry's characterization. No one is perfect at 16, but perfection isn't as lovable. :) Thanks so much for your review.

Oh, this was lovely too. They are so gorgeous together, and getting the hang of this kissing, cuddling and nuzzling business very nicely.
Did Harry actually see any ofthe meteor shower, I wonder. The stone circle certainly seemed to be the perfect spot to view the shower; the atmosphere was serene. And the sunrise sounded absolutely beautiful.
I wonder why Ginny is now feeling a little antsy. I'm a bit nervous.

Author's Response: I love that Ginny's birthday is actually during the meteor showers - such lovely fireworks by nature. H/G is my fav. pairing so I do like to write these kinds of scenes for them. Thanks for reading!

One of my favorite chapters so far..I loved the way Ginny explained her as a ten-year-old, comparing it to Harry...Really sweet and REAL. Also, I'm really curious about that cow..who is it?? According to this, (".......if something eats it, they will turn into a cow for a few hours." It HAS to be someone, a transformed person I mean..hm..a Death Eater? A spy? Peter Pettigrew? Update soon? :D
Author's Response: I liked this chapter too - it was one I was looking forward to writing from the beginning. The next chapter is up and questions about the cow are being answered!

I really liked that unicorn head. I'm glad that you included one of my fave passage in the whole series when it comes to H/G. "The worst day of his entire life" when Ginny was taken into the chamber. It was a really powerful emotion esp. coming from a 12 yr old boy.

Wonderful, you continue to spin such a wonderful story. I have said it before but now that others are picking up the thought you simple must continue with Harry & Ginny settling down on the Hathaway estate, they have had too many strong memories to ever not feel completely at home there.

Author's Response: Well, I think that is one of the big themes in HP - Harry finding a home. Of course it will be with Ginny, but it's nice to find the proper place for him - at least in our minds!

So if Harry and Ginny mean "can't live without you" when they call themselves selfish, what do they mean when they call themselves evil? I'd be interested to see how Ginny could make swimming lessons be like Harry's patronus lessons but you've said you want to keep the rating down... The sunrise color progression is an allusion to the alchemy of your wallpaper world, no? Anyway, I enjoyed this a lot as I always do with your chapters.

I find that one can suggest quite a bit and still keep a PG-13 rating - esp. with saavy readers! :)

I am sensing that trouble may be brewing in the next chapter. While I am sad to see this idyllic world disturbed, I am also not happy to have that threat hanging over Ginny. Not to mention the larger threat hanging over Harry. Sigh...
I am very much in agreement with wvchemteach. Hathaway Estate is too wonderful not to be revisited in a later fic.
Just for a little variety -- what up with the cat? :-)

Superb chapters, as usual - Harry, Ginny, a blanket, and a meteor shower - what more can I ask? LOL! I disagreed with Harry's feelings on his motivation to go into the Chamber, true, he thought it was the worst day, but he was empathizing with the Weasleys pain.
I loved how Harry fought for the words for what he was feeling - so him. To be honest, I was beginning to think it had more to do with the Dursleys and the ridiculous presents they always give him, but you managed to surprise me yet again. I realy enjoy your work.
Author's Response: Yes, I knew that would be controversial. And in my first draft I did have Harry mentioning that the felt sorry for the Weasleys at the time as well - but it got too wordy. It sounded like he was reciting one of my posts at the SQ.! LOL.
Still, I think if you analyze the diff. between Harry's "mourning" with the Weasleys while Ginny is in the Chamber and his "mourning" with them waiting to hear about Arthur in OotP - you will be struck by how very personally Harry takes Ginny's disappearance. It's rather striking.

Once again, I see that you look up the calendar and realize that there's a meteor shower close to Ginny's birthday. Naturally, just as wvchemteach mentions below, you find a way to turn a meteor shower into a fluffy moment.
Like the others, I find the analysis of Harry's various "gifts" to Ginny rather interesting.
Nice chapter, and as always looking forward to the next.
Author's Response: How could a meteor shower not be fluffy? The minute I heard the date of Ginny's birthday and how it often coincides with the Perseid meteor showers I thought I had to use it somewhere!
BTW - I only issue fluff challenges to the manly men who can handle them. I noticed you handled this chapter amazingly well! I think you are up for the challenge since you've been in training reading my fics.! :)

I've been reading your stories for a while, and I felt compelled to leave a comment :). After this chapter I have come to realize why I enjoy your Harry/Ginny developments so much--not only is it natural for their age, but also their characters. You have taken the the underlying feelings in canon and made them prominant, which is not an easy task! It really is a talent the way you've captured the actual Harry and Ginny in your story and I wanted to give you kudos for that! As always, I anxiously await updates :D.
