Oh, Martha! So sad. I knew that cow was bad, bad, bad.

I can understand Ginny's panic, wondering what to do and then how to get Martha to St Mungo's. I wonder how she planeed to get Martha from the boat to St Mungo's, or indeed would she have even known where to go?

Ginny and Martha's talk was very profound. At least Ginny had a special time with her aunt before the bovine Harriet turned up.

Ginny was very brave throughout the whole. It would be horrible to be 15 years old and witness someone die. But it is gratifying that she was there for Martha at the end.

Where's Harry?

I am glad that I am reading this so long after you wrote it. I don't have to wait for the next chapter.

Lesley~

Author's Response: I have some wicked cliff hangers - so it's good it's all out and complete. Thanks for reading!

So I don't know if you check your reviews anymore, and I think it's been awhile since you wrote this, but I know I always appreciate someone leaving me their thoughts on my writing so...

I've enjoyed this story immensely so far. I have one chapter left to read (as soon as I write this), but I wanted to leave a review at this chapter because I found it so remarkable. The conversation between Ginny and here great aunt is simply brilliant. I really loved the title to begin with - it's what drew me to read this story. But the philisophical underlayment for it is really quite beautiful in its simplicity and starkness. You're given everything you need - whether from the world around you or from your very being. It's a wonderful mesage and one that you poignantly capture and display for the reader in later chapters. This is a wonderful story. Just thought I'd share my opinion of it with you. - Mike

Author's Response: I'm notified by email of reviews, but it's always a delightful surprise when one of my "old" stories is reviewed. I'm glad it was still enjoyable even thought it was written before HBP - and I'm glad you liked the philosophy behind the story (and it didn't sound too preachy). I really enjoyed writing this story so I'm glad others have enjoyed it, too. Thanks for reading!

The EVIL cow.....grr...And poor aunt Marge...Has Harry gotten the paper plane message? This is almost too much to bare...But I'm glad you got some action into the story, this will highten the moments with fluff:) Hope you update soon, these chapters are getting better and better!

Author's Response: More action to follow. I'm hoping to get the next chapter back from my beta after the holidays.

That was a good chapter. It was a pity that Aunt Martha died, but at leaset she's with John and Johnny. Who is going to have the estate now that Martha is died? How is Ginny going to get out of the mess that she's in. And where is Harry when you need him? Anyway please update soon. Bella

Author's Response: So many good questions! And I'm missing Harry along with the rest of you. All will be revealed shortly! :)

I dont need to tell you that you are a fantastic writer. You should already know that. The character of Aunt Martha was beautifully developed, and she served her purpose very effectively. This story is intelligent and well crafted. Kudos to you for straying so far from the "normal" story line! Cant wait to read more! I want to see what happens next. Your Ginny is so self-reliant and spunky. I hope to see her stay in this role. Though I do love a good Damsel And Her Knight In Shining Armor story, I like it even better when the heroine can save herself, or team up with the hero to save eachother. I know you dont need any of MY help, and I'm sure we'll all go nuts for whatever you come up with! Love it!

Author's Response: Thanks for finding my story on the second page! My beta is busy with the holidays, otherwise, you'd have the next chapter right now where you will see what our girl can do. Harry will always be Ginny's knight - but in this story his role is a bit different - and I hope to show how he is capable of more than just physical rescues. Because at some point, the dust will settle from Voldemort and H/G will have to have more to keep them together than the adrenalin of adventure.

Oh, I can't believe that Aunt Martha's dead *cries*. But I'm really glad that she with her husband and son now. I'm guessing that we will see the fury of Ginny in upcoming chapters especially when she has a fish to fry name Malfoy. Maybe she'll show that "size is no guarantee of power" indeed!

Author's Response: I think you'll see some major power from Ginny - but it may come in a different form than you may expect.

Excellent chapter.. You're right, I'm upset over Aunt Martha's death but it's time for her to go to her husband. And it's a cliffhanger!! Luckily Ginny is a Parseltongue? So she'll get away fine right? And harry's not here to do the 'saving people' thing again, which I'm thankful cos' we can't have him saving people all the time. And I know it's in Ginny that she can get herself out of all these troubles. Looking forward to the next chapter =)

Author's Response: Yes- I've gotten Harry off the saving people thing with this scenario - although Ginny will still need him when it is all said and done. (but not for rescuing necessarily)

I like it. I am so sad that Aunt Martha died, but at least she's happy now. Kinda evil cliffie there with the rope.... Harry had better save her or else I'll be mad... I like it though.

Author's Response: I will always write a story with a happy ending - you'll never have to worry about that.

Well, I trust that you have your reasons and that it is absolutely essential that Aunt Martha die. And, yes, quick updates do make me feel much less inclined towards being angry. Much, much less.

Author's Response: Look for something on the weekend! (unless that interferes wtih the anger management class. LOL)

Well, I think you made it easier on Ginny by killing off Martha. She would have had to haul her everywhere and it just wouldn't have been good. Please update soon, this is agreat story one of the best I have read in a while.

Author's Response: I never thought of Aunt Martha that way - but it's true! LOL.

I knew it! Mind you, I would never have predicted the actual identity of the cow, though of course it makes perfect sense. I also wonder about what's happening with Harry during all this, and I hope they are reunited soon. I assume we will learn his side of the story when he relates it to Ginny? :-) I'm sorry to see Aunt Martha go, but I'm glad she had Ginny to see her off. I enjoyed the conversations between Ginny and Martha. I especially liked the references to Martha's conversations with Harry and Ginny's recognition that he also needed the answers she is seeking. As for the next chapters, adventure you say? sounds like exactly the type of thing I like, so I look forward to it. I'm quite interested in how Ginny's interaction with this snake will play out too. :-)

Author's Response: You will Harry's side of the story - but not for a while. The snake is *quite* interesting I think you will find. (not quite as interesting as the cow though LOL)

Not thinking big enough eh? How about Ginny somehow levitates Harriet in cow-form dropping her onto Lucius thereby killing the both of them but not before she tricks ol' pretty boy into signing over Malfoy farms to Ginny and Harry giving them both tracks to farm on into their golden years? Now, how to squash old Voldie into the Harriet/Lucius cow-pie? All kidding aside ... this was simple beautiful ... Ginny being there at the end (and alone) will make it easier on her in the long run, to know that she can give (and has the strength to give) the ultimate comfort of seeing a loved one off. I'm sure Ginny would rather Harry be there but anyone who is going to hang with him has to be independent and strong as an equal otherwise just wont work. Bit surprised Ginny didn't just have Lottie blip off to find Harry but stress makes you forget Bukcle up though, it's going to be a bumpy ride for awhile and I for one, am loving it!

Author's Response: You are closer than you think - although there are no flying cows or pigs in this story. (thinking of Monty Python's catapault in Holy Grail LOL) Yes - Ginny missed a few opportunities - but Lotty doesn't talk - so that was a factor in Ginny's decision.

That Parseltongue will come in handy right about now... I guess she does have everything she needs. That was lovely, Ginny being with Aunt Martha as she passed. The lump in my throat is still there. What a mad cow that woman was... I hope the Order finds her still bound! I can't believe that there is no Order member watching the Estate. I have thought that someone was there watching. Did LM really go to the estates? Will we know what happened? Poor Harry he must be going spare with worry over Ginny. She will prove she can handle herself I am confident. I so want him to find her though... he needs her. I would like to know is thought about Ginny while she is gone. 'the heart grows fonder and all that'..... I hope you had a wonderful holiday! This sure made mine!!!! Cheers! Did Aunt Martha give the Estate to the Order? She says it isn't Ginny, so I wonder....

Author's Response: Yes - you will find out all the details in the coming chapters - but in dribs and drabs. You know Harry would move heaven and earth to find her - so don't worry about that. All will be revealed about the Estate. I'm glad you had a good holiday! I got three chapters written despite the fact I had to fight my six-year old for the computer, since he got a Harry Potter game for Christmas!

I'm not surprised, but saddened. I liked Aunt Martha. I'm anxious to see Ginny save herself, although the romantic in me is missing Harry. I hope he got the note in time to escape himself. That must be killng him. I liked the Magic Within Magic Without speech. I still can't help but think that even in this, Harry is different though. The prophecy says Neither can live while the other survives, so even his happiness can't be complete until Voldemort is gone. Loved the twist with the Jarvey really trying to say the COW is an Animagus, how clever of you! I really like this story, and I'm holding my breath for the promised cliffhangers, starting with this one.

Author's Response: Yes - Harry has to drink from his cup of fate - just like Aunt Martha did -just like all of us have to do at times - but I do think that Harry has the wherewithal to vanquish Voldemort - he just doesn't know what it is yet. And what makes literature so much better/easier than real life is the author can make it so for her characters. The author can give them everything they need. Perhaps the universe isn't always this way - but it should be!

hope you are going to keep on with the quick updates. Does Harry get Ginny's message in time to see her duel with Lucius? I am sure she needs no help from our resident hero, or perhaps he could hold her high heels which she polishes off the bad guy. I like the idea of a strong woman Ginny. Do you?

Author's Response: For a great shoes and Ginny scene - see my story "Razor's Edge." Yes - Ginny has made a few mistakes but she is strong in her own way.

Well, at least Aunt Martha went back to her family - the ones that she hasn't seen in many a year. I'm really not mad at you for killing her off though, especially if it is important to the plot - but I wouldn't mind quick updates... *shy smile*. I thought Aunt Martha's explanation of the "Magic within, and the Magic without" - I hope that Ginny remembers that - though she does remember the fact that you already have everything. Did you make that up? It sounds very... I dunno, but it's a good thing. I'm probably not making any sense (don't know if I have much to begin with)... Insquequo terminus, amanda

Author's Response: Ginny will have to remember and use everything she has in the next couple of chapters. I did make that up - but it's certainly not a new idea. And I don't think it goes against the philosophy of the HP world - where you might not have all the facts, like Harry at the end of OotP - but he did have "his heart that saved him." But I also wanted to show that when it's your time - it's your time - even when you've done everything you're supposed to do - but you can go unafraid, like Aunt Martha did.
