Comments M_And came out of the woodwork on 2008.12.13 - 11:07PM to say: Hey Spenser, to much sugar in the coffee? Those are some seriously deep thoughts there. You might as well ask if your dot is on the map and no one says "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good" are you really there? How's that for a brain teaser? - Mike Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2008.12.14 - 12:23AM to say: Deep thoughts--me? The Marauders' Map's closing phrase has been my trademark (with all proper respect to JKR) for forty-eight stories now (including two on a Luna site). This story is important to me for that particular reason beyond all others. By the way, our coffee is only enjoyed black in my house--the one thing I have in common with Burundian kowtowing toadies. So many ideas...so little time...such a nice couple Ginny and Harry. Mischief managed! Eric M_And came out of the woodwork on 2008.12.14 - 01:20AM to say: Ha! Eric. I almost forgot about the Burundian kowtowing toadies reference. I did how ever remeber your patented (not literally) ending as I have read more than two of your stories. And yes, as someone who deeply appreciates the comic mind, "deep thoughts". There's an old pholosophical sounding saying: "A day without sunshine is like...night." I leave it to you, the master of humurous reference, to figure out who came up with that nugget. - Mike M_And came out of the woodwork on 2008.12.14 - 01:22AM to say: Okay...I just read all the typos in that last response - obviously there's a reason I require a beta. Yikes! - M harry_ginny1234 came out of the woodwork on 2008.12.17 - 09:05PM to say: as for what the map shows. it at least shows peeves. so it should probably show others as well. | |||||||||||

I've always wondered if the map would show non-humans such as the ghosts, house-elves and Malfoy. If not, how did it indicate Pettigrew's presence when he was a rat? It's different with an Animagus you say? Then why couldn't they use it to spot Rita Skeeter when she was a bug? We can have all sorts of fun here...to a point.
