Everything was going so right, and then went terribly wrong. Harry and Ginny were finished pulling off their prank in the Great Hall to start at breakfast. They were so happy being together that they forgot to check the Marauders Map upon leaving at three in the morning. Their illuminated wands gave them away immediately. “Who goes there!?” came from their left which was in the perfect nasal tone of Snape. “A student out of bed again!” came from their right followed by a “meow.” “Nox!” Harry and Ginny said at the same time. They just stood there silently figuring out how they were going to get away. “Do you trust me?” Ginny asked him. She felt more than heard his head nod in reply. “Then run with me.” She whispered urgently while grabbing his hand. Without any lighting to see where they were going, Ginny started a full out run towards Mr. Filch. At the last moment she veered around him before he could react. Harry had no idea where they were going as he couldn’t see a thing. But Ginny kept running. She pulled him recklessly through the corridors, moving left and right avoiding some obstacles and such. Then she suddenly stopped, keeping her tight grip on his hand so he didn’t get ahead of her. “Why’d we stop?” “Because there’s no staircase. It’s moving towards us now.” “How can you tell? I can’t see a thing in the dark.” “I’ll tell you later. Now start walking up the stairs with me. It’s here.” |

One of the great perspectives available in this challenge is the test of trust between Harry and Ginny--specifically in the area of diminished or enhanced vision. I went with the quote about no one being so blind as he person who will not see. I can see...a great Challenge here. I'm done with mine, and I'll help beta anyone who has a story in mind overthe next couple of days. Lets have some fun!! Eric B.
