Well done my favorite part of your writing is maybe how you end your chapters it makes you want no probably more closer to needing to keep reading though I love it now I am sure when I catch up to your story I probably won't be loving it as much lol,

I'm continuing to enjoy this story (my reservations/dislike for some of the characters, as mentioned previously, notwithstanding); it embodies a frenetic energy and 'gung-ho' attitude that's quite unique. Maybe a bit over-the-top (!) but still good fun to read.
I thought you had Harry as quite powerful and had complained last time that Ginny was super-duper powerful, and in the first couple of pages here you have Remus's treatise that everyone's magical core is roughly the same size!? But you have Harry musing whether they are wrong about 'how magic works', so I'll tag along and see what they end up deciding.
I like the little bit about Ginny not being able to take a potion due to it's returning her muscles to their 'previous state'. Makes perfect sense, from my limited understanding that muscle building involves 'micro tears' in the tissue? Anyway, it's nice to know that magic can't do everything; sometimes I think the wizards in canon have it too easy.

Author's Response: I'm glad you continue to enjoy it. Some of the characters are _very_ hard to like, which doesn't bother me in the least. If you like all the characters, then there isn't much from a writing perspective to do except write about one big happy foo-fest.
Watch out for the rules of magic. Trust me, I've got a system worked out. You can't be super-powered ... unless you're willing to give up a lot of things in the bargain. Like life.
I hope you continue to enjoy it as the story unfolds...

I can't wait to see magically-enhanced thumb wars between Dumbledore and Pettigrew. That will be awesome.
Great chapter. Somehow these transitional (in some ways) chapters are just as good as the main action chapters, if not even better.
Author's Response: Will two left thumbs translate into two left feet for thumb wrestling between two not raised as Muggles? Would a jar of Crisco make it any more interesting? Would either ever really need a can opener again? And does Victrinox make a set of attachments?

It's very slow, but you are getting Harry and Ginny together. Can yo perhaps speed it up a bit? ;-) Good work, keep it up!
Author's Response: Errr, speed it up a bit? Hmmm. How about this: Facing that most vile half-human half-monster V from the netherworld, Harry slowly reached behind his back and pulled out a can. Rather like a Pringles can, with a large pull-tab on the top. With the label partially obscured, no one could read anything other than "Whoop-A" on the side. With a maniacal grin, Harry jerked the top off the can, and...

loved it...as always...it was interesting...i liked your reference to the diary horcrux...but yeah...
im glad you had hermione figure out the thing...i look forward to seeing how long it takes her to accoplish it...should be intersting...

I just found your story. Someone had to twist my arm to read this and am so glad I did. I love this new Harry. Really a cool character. Very refreshing. I also enjoy your interpetation of Ginny, Ron, etc. I don't know what direction this story will take...but you have hooked.
Have you written any other original fiction? (As in characters,, etc)? If so, I would love to read it.
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the chance on a new fic. I know that's a real risk given the plethora of Really Bad Junk out there (shudder). I'm glad you're enjoying it. The real question is whether anyone is what they seem at first glance? Heh heh. As for original fiction... funny, I don't think anyone else ever asked. In fact, I have, but I cringe looking back on it these days. Maybe one of these days I'll dust it off and see if it can stand alone.

Well first of all congratulations!
I like the fact that you are taking your time with the story and giving us details, but it also frustrating because I like the story and want to get on with it. But that's just my incessant curiosity bubbling out.
Well we've caught Remus & Sirius up on what happened so Harry's group is back at a level playing field, now we need to see what they can come up with.
I can't wait to see how you incorporate Ginny & Hermione into the details of the story.
There is still the meeting in Geneva...so many pieces....
What a evil cliffhanger.

There are a few "real" cliffhangers out there, this one didn't strike me as much of an evil one, but... I'll take it as a compliment. Some of those details will be fun, won't they?

Somebody who read "On the Headmaster's Wall" complimented me on developing a "science behind the magic" (not really something I was intending to do). I liked the compliment, but compared to you, Josh, I've done nothing at all. This is fascinating and I wonder where it's going.
Author's Response: You might be marginally spoiled if you've talked to my betas or that sneaky fellow Sovran. Sovran has had the very simplistic version of how my magic rules work, whereas the betas have had the abridged version. I dunno if I can take much credit for it all, though -- it seems like a straightforward exercise in logic to me. Keep your eyes open, lots more Theory of Magic is coming.

first of congratulation and it amazing you stiil have time left to write at all.
no onto to the chapter it was nice to se a bit more of remus and we finnally get a look at the hermione we know & love ive a felling that she going to get on very well with reamus.
Harrys treament of ginny still fells a little rough but then hopefully it will just proved a stornger tie between them in the futer (Harrys expression going to be pricless when he relise it could be ginny thats going to provide the love to defeat tom). harrys relisation that he may be forced to kill any one whos possed by tom was very thought fully and should make the diary (if it turns up or maybe that what happened to ginny which opens up a whole new can of worms) a very intrest horucrux to deal with any way eneught with the speculation,

The realization of how to deal with people under Voldemort's control is a bit interesting, isn't it? Wow - so much happened in just this one day! Where do I begin? :P
I love the interaction that Harry has with Remus and Sirius, especially the "one upsmanship" when Remus starts reviewing the sensor. I also love the Weasley family interaction. I think you've captured them pretty well.
This bit at the end with the MoM looking for Dumbledore looks to be very interesting. It'll be interesting to see how Hermione takes things when SHE fully realizes that the answer to everything can't be read in a book.
And this relationship between Harry and Ginny will certainly be fun once he gets out of the hospital. : )
Looking forward to the next chapter! Hope you get some sleep in the meantime. : )

Author's Response: Having read the story for 140k words, you're asking "what else can happen?" ...? Is this a challenge? Why, I accept! In reality, the story plot is pretty firmly laid out (barring betas telling me "fix that!") ... but have no fears. The fun is only beginning.
