Is trust the issue? I don't get that from Harry. Just a desire to protect her and realization that his feelings are so strong that if she were beside him he would be worried about loosing her and why wouldn't he? Everyone he has been close to save these two is dead. That alone would tend to make you very paranoid.

“Great,” he spat. “A loner who thinks they can save the world.”

Pot, kettle; kettle, pot.

I almost thought Hermione was going to accidentally give Ginny away, but she didn't! I think I'm seeing a big argument in the next chapter.

I agree with Phishbulb, we don't know the real Ginny at all... but what for get is how Dumbledore let her do trainning that Harry wasn't alord to do, when he most of all should have and not Ginny, as she didn't really need it. Harry need it more then anyone else in the story, so why did Dumbledore let this happen... I think he is two faced as ever.

Author's Response: Hey! Cool! Review Response button! Um, yes, I totally knew that. *Snaps out of baffled teenager mode* I think that Ginny's not really any different from before. Hermione and her brothers think she's changed, when really, she's the same person, who's pushed herself to do more things, because Tom has made her afraid. The only change for her brothers is an age and maturity one...they just haven't realized that yet. When Hermione shouted "You don't know her," or something to that accord, she meant, you don't know about her. And Ginny's not intentionally keeping secrets. She's just afraid and hurt, and has only in the last few months gotten to where Harry and Ron are becoming better friends (besides boyfriend and brother) to her, and about that time, when she was ready to tell him, everything with Dumbledore's death came up and Ginny has always been aware that Dumbledore never really trusted her. She just doesn't know why.

I have absolutely no idea where Ginny is coming from trying to play some sort of victim here. Harry hasn’t been completely honest with her? Dumbledore told him not to, and saving the world is a little more important than not disappointing a petulant girlfriend. Harry doesn’t want to take Ginny with them? Ginny is underage. When she uses magic, she does so illegally and can not only get in trouble with the ministry, but she can lead the ministry right to them which kinda ruins the idea of flying under the radar. Most importantly, she’s a year away from being able to apparate, something that will no doubt prove vital on this Horcrux hunt. Instead of being unreasonable in trying to keep Ginny home, Harry is making the only decision he can.

Oh yeah, somehow over the years Ginny has turning into the greatest witch ever. Animagus, occlumency, legilimency, potions master. Not that she felt she needed to share this with anyone, let alone Harry. She certainly saw how much Harry was struggling with occlumency. I’m sure Harry receiving some hints from a friendly source would have helped him immensely. Ginny did nothing. Ginny knew the prophecy, long before Harry did. Great job in not sharing that information, Ginny. The only negative was Sirius’ death. Ginny and Snape apparently knew about the Horcrux’s. There’s no need to pass that information on to the leader of the light. I guess the only negative with that is Dumbledore needlessly going after the locket and getting himself killed. Oh well.

Does Ginny really think that she’s somehow deserving of anything from Harry at this point? That somehow it’s Harry that’s in the wrong here? Harry doesn’t even know Ginny. She’s been presenting a false persona for years now, and the real Ginny is apparently a lying, manipulative, self-centered, egotistical little girl. I can see why she likes Snape so much.

Another great chapter! Harry's such an idiot! When is he going to realize that Ginny is more of an asset rather than a hindrance in his quest for the horcruxes? Please update soon!

Still a great story and ...... to me ....... I think Hermione has a misplaced trust issue ....... I still don't believe she should value Ginny's trust above Harry's. What will happen if in a confrontation situation, Hermione has to choose between Harry or Ginny? Who will Harry trust then when he finds out what Hermione has been harboring? However, it is this fundamental issue that makes alot of your story compelling and unique. Looking forward to your next update and thanks for updating so quickly.

Harry not trusting people, will no der... what do you expeact with most of the people that he meet hmm... lets list a few Quirrell, who had Voldemort in the back of his head. Then there was Gilderoy Lockhart' who was a feak, who would let Ginny die, and there was the imposter Moondy, who lead Harry to Voldemort... then there was the cow from his 5th year (I couldn't remember her name)

So Hermione wonders why Harry can't seem to trust people. and there is her, who is keeping something importent from him... and she asks why he can't trust people.

Hermione also knew about some of Ginny trainning with Dumbledore and the other teachers, which I think that Harry should have instead of Ginny, as he is one to fight Voldemort...

If Dumbledore wanted to train Ginny, he should have trained Harry too.

I must say how much I love your characterization of Hermione. I like the fact that Ginny at least has Hermione she can turn too within the Trio. In other stories that are similiar to this often have the group so tight knit that Ginny is almost completely excluded. But we know from the nooks that Hermione and Ginny are friends and spent time together without Harry and Ron. I'm glad you kept that.

People often have her as being overly curious, hot tempered and unreasonable. With someone as smart as her, these traits are common - thurst for knowledge can been seen as nosey, and being so smart its not hard to get used to (and be over confident) being right all the time.

We forget that she IS clever and she is close with Ginny. Because of that she's probably very adept in figuring out how her friends feeling and how unfair she is being treated (We've seen her tell the boys how Cho was feeling several times!).

Since I am rambling I will end the review here. I just wanted to note that you have an excellent grasp on who Hermione is that many people often overlook.
