Very sweet and fluffy, but I'm as perplexed as anyone else by Harry's inexplicable reluctance to admit his feelings. In previous chapters, he shied away from telling Ginny that he loved her because he wasn't sure that she reciprocated. His angst and uncertainty in this chapter seem really quite confusing - why is it so difficult for him to just confess again? He knows that Ginny loves him, and that she'll respond in kind. The angst just seems rather contrived and out of place.

The other real problem that I've got with the fic so far is that Harry really doesn't act like a 20 something your old trapped in a 13 year old's body except when he is speaking to Dumbledore, Sirius and Godric. Around Ginny, he acts like a 13 year old in a 13 year old's body - one who is remarkably empathetic and caring, but one whose affections are possessed of a childish innocence and a youthful exuberance. The question is, really, which is the real Harry? The dry, occasionally sarcastic older Harry who appears when he's alone with Dumbledore and Sirius, or the sweet and childish Harry who's so elated to discover that Ginny loves him that he makes a vital error? Is Harry putting on an act for Ginny, to make her love him, or is he really himself around her?

Author's Response: The Real harry is of course, the harry speaking to dumbledore and sirius and Godric. the reason he isnt acting that way around ginny and the others is because they would suddenly become very suspicious. that dosent mean he's putting on a act to try and make ginny love him. hes just trying to blend into the school age with everyone else. with hanging around with ginny for the past 6/7 years pretending to be a kid something will in turn become a natrual reaction. the fact that harry was elated about ginny beign in love with him in the chamber chapter was merly because he has been waiting for what... 6/7 years for that exact moment. love is love, whether your 14 or 28(Give a couple of months, for harry's birthday.) your always going to get caught up in a moment when the girl who you love so much admits that she loves you back. he trys to be himself around ginny but of course he cant be his exact 28 year old self around ginny cause the ginny will become suspicous and she isnt quite ready to know yet. although with everything ginny had gone through this past year it will cause ginny to grow up alot wich you will see in the next year of my story. and finally, adressign the fact to why haryr hasnt told her he loves her yet ater the chamber of secrets. marly becuase he is to preocupied in trying to get ginny past her nightmares. im sure that once the nightmares stop. haryr will once again confess how he feels about her.

I'm glad they finally got rid of the basilisk.
I guess Molly remains completely ignorant of the mistakes sh's making with Ginny.
I think you're fabricating extra angst for no real reason as far as Harry and Ginny's relationship. Harry had already made his decision, and now he changed his mind because she went into the Chamber, thus allowing Tom to control their lives.
