Now the next chapter is going to be REALLY interesting. I do like how you insert the flashbacks it adds to the story as a whole!

Ginny must be so nervous. I wonder if baby Ollie will confuse Harry or set back his recovery.

Hey Buffy,
Alright. I should be used to you being cruel to us your poor defenseless readers. You’d think after Happiness that I would’ve expected nothing else. Still, I can’t believe that you’re making us wait another chapter before we get to see Harry see Ginny. At least you let us know what he remembered so far. That assuages some of my curiosity. Ah, who am I kidding? I want to see what happens when he sees Ginny. Wah wah wah! It’s all about my wants.

Seriously, I adored the opening scene with Oliver asking Ginny about Harry. I’ve always thought that it must be a tricky subject for a couple when one is a widow or widower. How do you get out from under that shadow? I know that Ginny thought Harry left her, but it was similar in that abrupt cessation of the relationship with no goodbyes and no closure, not how it normally is after a breakup. Oliver just proved himself again to be such a doll. No judgment, no jealousy, just honestly concerned and wanting to understand.

Snape, eh? Hmmmm. I’m skeptical. Snape might just be too easy. Plus, wouldn’t Snape kill him? I think their assumption could easily turn out to be wrong… unless it turns out to drive the plot. How noncommittal of me.

Now, he sees everyone as long lost family, but he’s asked for Ginny twice? Well, that’s a good sign, at least. I loved the line about her life shifting irreversibly. Wonderful. Can’t wait for the next chapter. And I’m adding this as a favorite so I don’t miss more updates. I really should use that feature more often. If you haven’t seen it, I left a review for last chapter as well.

I don't know which would be worse for Harry at this point, to regain or to not regain his memories. To not regain would mean that he knows that there is an entire past hidden from him while dealing with people and situations that assume that past knowledge. What if he feels friendly towards Ron and Hermione but is lacking that closeness of shared experiences. Would Ron and Hermione be able to accept that the Trio is irrevocably gone? What about both the Death Eaters and the reporters for whom he would be unprepared to handle?

OTOH, to regain his memories would be to deal with not only the pain of his past, but the additional pain of what his friends did and didn't do in his absence. For example, why did they assume so readily that Harry just left them? Tonks, Kingsley, Moody and the other aurors don't come off looking particularly professional. They didn't think to look in muggle London? They didn't seem to seriously consider foul play? What happened to Moody's attitude of "assume the worst til proven otherwise"? And the final betrayal that Ginny also assumed that he voluntarily left her, didn't try to look for him and soon moved on. Would Harry want to resume a relationship with someone who gave up on him so readily?

What Harry been doing for the past four years? He didn't have any muggle education or skills. And why wasn't he killed rather than obliviated and sent into muggle society? Although I suppose that to someone born and raised in wizarding society, living as a muggle may seem like a worse punishment than death.

Excellent chapter. Ginny has had some time to think about her past ...... with Oliver, with Harry, why she didn't hunt for Harry. But there is still more to come about her guilt, her thinking, why she abandoned her love for Harry so quickly, and as you point out .... Ron and Hermione didn't. I am wondering if her first visit to Harry will have Ollie in tow? Might as well get all the news out quick! I am wondering whether Harry's first sight of Ginny will trigger much more of his past memories? And what will their first words to each other be? And why have you kept his muggle girlfriend out of the conversations that Ron and Hermione had with Harry? It is all these questions that make your transition chapter so good. I can't wait to read the next one.

Oh goodness, if you're going away we shall have to wait for more...doh! Of course teh anticipation *is* the best thing about stories :D

I like exploring Ginny's emotions and uncertainties - there's a good reason for ehr to feel apprehensive after all! WellDone.

He'll see her face and remmeber and she'll break his heart and he'll be depressed and wish that he hadn't remembered and then she'll fall in love with him again and take it back. It's kinda Everwood-ish, without the Ferris Wheels and the drinking and with more magicalness.

I just love the premise of this story! It is so different.

Ginny has reason to feel some guilt, yet at the same time, she doesn't. She herself could not mount a search for Harry. That would have been up to the ministry, the Aurors, etc. However, she could have hounded the authorities to do so. Why was everyone so complacent with accepting his disappearance? This point is a bit cloudy for me.

Why, psychologically, was Ginny able to come to grips with Harry's unexplained disappearance so soon and without a whole lot of questions?

Was it ethically correct to virtually kidnap Harry and his companion? Was is ethically correct to bring him back to a place where he is proportedly miserable? Why isn't Harry angry? if the other woman was his girlfriend, why isn't he frantic to know what has become of her and to see her again?

hmmmm.......
