Reviews For Stoicism (and the Breakdown of...)

First of all -- what a nice story. Well, nice doesn't really cover it, does it? It has all the elements I think a good fanfic should contain. Hardship without misunderstanding, the looming threat of the dark overpowering the Wizarding world, and a happy ending. How wonderful that they lied to everyone else (“I’m fine”) but didn’t try to each other. All that pain and longing, and they know the other feels it too, yet they strive on for the greater good. Is it necessary? Maybe. What I appreciate is that while it hurts, Ginny is not angry about the break up. You understand what JKR tried to express yet what some H/G shippers miss – Ginny does understand Harry’s motives. She knows he cares for (loves?) her and that he wants to be with her, but his task is not about his desires. She supports him and can let go of him because, in the end, she knows his heart is with her. So, yes, there is pain, but not anger. You can mutually love and support from afar which is what she intends to do as she knows that love is not diminished because you are separated from the person you love. Thank you for not making Ginny petty. | |||||||
