Ahhhhh. There's the fun and fluffy ending we all knew was coming. Up until the very last moment, I thought Harry had remembered Ginny's birthday and had something special in store for her. But I have no problem accepting that he forgot her birthday and STILL had something special in store for her.
Molly's and Arthur's gift to Ginny was perfect, from a reader's point of view. Clearly magical, but tied closely enough to our reality that we can recognize it as just the sort of thing parents might give their 16-year-old daughter on her birthday. Harry being in the locket was, of course, a foregone conclusion. I wonder . . . does the locket keep the picture of the last person requested until a new person is requested? If so, is Ginny going to be asking it for anyone else at all?
Is it really, really bad of me to want to see a scene where Cleotilde meets Dudley? 'Cause I do... I really, really do.

Author's Response: Hi Dave. The locket was Erika's idea. A last minute idea, truth be told. We kind of felt bad that her parents hadn't gotten her anything in the original draft of the chapter. Good addition, eh? Cleo and Dudley? Hmmm... it has possibilities. Maybe we can pass the plot bunny on to Josh. :)

Ahh waht a great end no wonder youve had 24 reviews & still 5 stars
the whole bit with the gnomes was pricelles poor dodo & then having thenm get get Attenborough reviving potion (i hope thats a refrence to david Attenborough propably the best natrula history presenter in the uk).
bill & charlies presents where perfect and of course harrys family just a little close then arthur suspects.
the whole last scean was perfect and was a great end to this story. now iam egaly awating what ever you come up with next.

I do love the idea of gnomes secreting themselves in the sprouts and finding any other way to infiltrate the house just for the chance to bask in the presence of Cleotilde. Well, she was out to attract someone while there, just not a whole gaggle of somethings.

I see you added a scene since my last look at the chapter. Of course Molly and Arthur would have a present for her as they had been looking forward to her birthday. Events just caught them off their guard, but surely they already had her present. Duh. Nice catch. I loved the locket. As soon as Molly said what it did, I knew Harry would be included in family. And who else would she want hanging around her neck?
I love how busted Fred and George were. Hee hee. Scoundrels. I mean that in an I love them sort of way.

That's the most beautiful thing I've read in a while!!
I love that movie, and although it's almost nothing like the movie, I liked this AU idea.
I totally love the end: "Well, you better start making up for all that wasted time, Harry." A lot of wasted time, I'd say!!
