I knew this was an unfinished work, but I had to keep reading it. The last chapter had all that was good about the whole series. Such a shame, but I will still have to give it full marks.

Finally the downfall of Fudge; I expected more action during the event though. Even the apprehention of Umbridge went too smoothly. Could it all happen so flawlessly? Definitely looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: You'd think, wouldn't you? But assuming that the Ministry wasn't in any way a unified front, and that Scrimgeour would not stand idly by if an opportunity was presented him, I found myself having to ADD pillars of support for Fudge and his government to even make such a coup a challenge. The most powerful force working against a coup is the collective 'oh no, you can't do that!' reaction working within the magical community. That's why the first coup was snuffed out early. Scrimgeour made a strong, well-managed, and quick move on Fudge, and exploited the divisions within the ministry to win a relatively easy victory.
Honestly, if Jo had been willing to entertain the idea, I'm not sure why it couldn't have happened in canon. Fudge had little except the legitimacy of his position working for him. If a Scrimgeour or Amelia Bones had made a push...and certainly, if Dumbledore had done so, Fudge's government would have toppled. I don't see any reason to think otherwise.

Great chapter! Your writing has impressed me before., but I really liked the maturity you've shown with your narrative. I liked those conversations between Harry and Ron. Also the one with Peter and Luna. Your portrayal of Knott is really fascinating. I'm fascinated by him to begin with. One of these characters by Rowling that could be anything.
Your mentioning of Ginny kind of thew me off. I kind of thought she would no longer be in the story (being SIYE not withstanding.) She's not sitting around twiddlling her thumbs. Not the way you've written her in the past. Something going on with her.
Author's Response: That's the paradox of adolescent relationships: both partners benefit, but also come to rely and count on one another to the point where they stop maintaining other friendships, looking after lingering problems, etc. Ginny is too strong a character to stay down for long, with or without Harry.
