Cute, but I was left kinda let down at the end. There wasn't really a resolution.

It's been said that the best AU fics start by making a small change to canon and show how such a minor change propogates through the story. And judging by your summary, "How could a glass of water change everything," this is exactly what you had in mind.

So we see that in this fic, Harry causes Ginny to oversleep. It's clever how you have this lead to two changes from canon -- first Ginny forgets her diary, and then the fact that she forgets it means that the family arrives before Dobby can block the barrier. And so the elf locks Harry and Ginny in. I'm still wondering how Luna finds out --

Like some of the other reviewers, I'm curious as to what will happen next. Besides Harry and Ginny's developing friendship, the fact that Ginny now has Harry's diary obviously means that the Chamber incident will never occur. This may sound good now, but now we know that the diary Horcrux is still sitting at the Burrow -- which may cause problems in Harry's seventh year --

Strictly speaking Hagrid shouldn't be doing magic, but I suppose he received permission from the headmaster in this case. I loved how you ended this. There is the hint of good things to come, but we are also reminded that this is merely the onset of Book Two. Ron is going to be a sight to see over the coming years. I do wish that We had a bit more Luna. I wasn't at all surprised when she turned out to tbe the one who guessed about the hous-elf's mischief. Another enjoyable chapter. Thanks. Eric

I really like the concept of this fic... however, it does seem to be going a bit too quickly. It's a good story, but IMO, there's just not enough plot development for a real, honest-to-goodness relationship to form. Note that I am very prone to constructive criticism, and I mean this in the best way possible. I just think it needs to be... fleshed out a bit more. I do like the story though, so don't despair over my review.
