I'm glad that Cherish has made it for Gryffindor. Otherwise she would have been a bit out of the story, I fear.
Thanks Merlin, no Umbridge this year. On the other hand, I fear that Mrs. Tort isn't better. Obviously Mrs Tort is the short version of Mrs Torture. Oh, and by the way, funny thing that Ginny was the first one in detention.
Regarding Dudley, I'm glad that he was allowed to stay at Hogwarts, although I was a bit surprised. Usually Muggles weren't allowed at Hogwarts, as it has been told to Petunia. I'm curious what you're planning with Dudley.

it's a differnt twist to have Dudley doing some classes and learning just how hard it's been for Harry

As for Dudley, it's a growing experience for him and I hadn't read of ANYONE doing it so I did. He doesn't NEED magic in any of those classes so I thought, why not? You know they saying about 'walking in someone's shoes in order to get to know them'? That's what Dudley's doing.

Now that was a nice twist in the beginnings of year 5.
A beautifull,beguiling, silky voiced SM Mistress (what's in a name, hey?) as the Fudgy follower instead of the Sacharinne Voiced Pink Toad. Very nice indeed. And to have Ginny be the one to end up in detention, wow. First time for me to read that!
I loved the end where Harry help Ginny but made himself blind as a bat as a way to make her feel better. That was so sweet. :D

Author's Response: Actually, I've looked it up in OOTP (US version) and I spelled it correctly. I've seen two different spellings for the lady's first name though.
Author's Response: Oh and glad you liked my version of Umbridge, thought it would make a nice twist. Harry's shown he can be very sweet when the occasion warrants it.

Best Crumple Horned Snorkack ever. I actually almost fell out of my chair laughing at it (Ralph... Only because he's frightened.,,,) I also quite enjoyed Dumbledore's nice long praise of Harry and Ginny culminating in Thank You, Dont do it again.
Your Umbridge type replacement character is wonderful. A true expansion onto the hateability that was the frog woman. I like the constant dichotomy in your descriptions of her and her surroundings.
Keep up the wonderful story
Author's Response: Thanks, glad you loved my version. I thought it was Dumbledore-ish to praise them than scold them. Glad you liked my Umbridge. I was looking for someone who could surprise you. She looks nice but underneath is nothing but hate.

Great Chapter!
Man, it is so odd to read that Harry and Dudley are walking together throughout Hogwarts, but I still love it! And I really enjoyed Dudley having an extra vial of potion ready to give Snape!
The interactions were great between Harry and Cherish in this chapter. I love how they are becoming closer.
I was wondering since Dumbledore called them Harry and Ginny Potter if there was going to be an uproar, but I guess the school is just taking it in stride.
I can't believe Professor Tort! She is the new Umbridge, only her detention was worse! It was very sweet to see Harry and Ginny take care of each other after the Seamus and dententions events.
Author's Response: Thanks. Had to warn Dudley about Snape. Perhaps we'll see him in class. We'll see more moments like this between Harry/Cherish. Not taking it stride, the students will be doing their own question asking as we saw a bit of. I wanted someone on the scale of Umbridge without actually using her specifically. Harry and Ginny really know what the other needs and taking care of each other is what love is all about.
