I've just starred reading this one and I just wanted to drop a quick comment on how much I'm enjoying the story so far, especially how you're depicting the relationship between mother and son.

Author's Response: Thanks for letting me know you're enjoying this. It's always great to hear when someone knew has found this and embraced it. Cheers!

Weasley party! Glad to read the ever growing Weasley family celebrating Jackson's eventful day. It's sad at the same time coz Harry's not around to see this event. The famed rock & roll photographer.... nice touch. Jackson/Anna - are we not going to discover later that Anna's a witch too? Being muggle, or later on raising magical kids could be quite challenging, I guess.

Author's Response: And I do believe we still have a couple of legendary Weasley parties to come :) And Harry's an extraordinary wizard in Potterverse...I thought I'd make him extraordinary at whatever he chose to do here to. And not to burst your bubble...but Anna is not a witch. She really is a Muggle and I'm sure that she and Jackson will work things out (whenever that time comes way in the future :) Thanks for reading!

AFTER CHAPTER 4. Having just read your story to date, let me first say that it's fun and engaging. I truly have enjoyed what I read. I most appreciate the characterizations of Jackson and Anna as well as the way you have styled Ginny's personality. And more particularly, I enjoy the various one on one relationships between the three of them. I had a random question when musing through this as well as a concern.

Random question. What has happened to all of Harry's gold and inherited wealth since he died? Don't know how much he would be worth in your universe, but clearly from J K's perspective there was quite a lot. Absent a will before the battle, I wouldn't expect Ginny to be entitled to it, but what about his son, Jackson? If the Goblins control the gold they could certainly do a test to verify Jackson's lineage. In most fan fiction they are reluctant to turn the inheritance over to the Ministry. And it's clear that Jackson is the spitting image of Harry and, in fact, you named him Jackson James Potter in Chapter 2. By the way, I'm curious if you fancied a legal/technical mechanism that permitted to take that name, or did Ginny simply choose to do it? Since she and Harry never married, she couldn't take his last name. Anyway, I would expect Jackson to be entitled to the Potter fortune, whatever that might be in your story. Now that he has just turned 17, shouldn't he come into his inheritance?

As to the concern, it would seem that Evan Smith might likely be Harry resurrected, or somehow bounced to the Muggle world after his battle with V. Based on your simple mention and the fact that he has been there for a time (don't know how long - long enough to produce a book) it is likely that he has no memory of the magical world. If he were magical but had lost his memory of it, one would expect there to be some spontaneous bouts of magic in his life which would lead him to question things. And if he did remember, wouldn't he return, if for no other reason than to re-unite with Ginny? So the conclusion is that he has lost him magic and his memory of it. If that turns out to be permanent, I would be sorely disappointed. I've read several stories about Harry losing his magic and have always felt disappointed by them. After all, it's just not Harry Potter without his magic. And we all know he's a wizard of powerful proportions. Keep on writing and my best to you.

Author's Response: First off, thanks so much for you review and sorry for having taken so long to respond! You're right in your assumption that Harry had a lot of gold and wealth (both from his parents and Sirius). Jackson is the heir to that and it was something I was going to address in this last chapter. INstead of the watch, he was going to (at one point in my brainstorming) get a letter from Gringotts that would have given him his full access to the Potter vaults and fortune. But I thought the watch would pull a little bit more emotional weight than the money. For now I'll just assume (and let others assume as well) that he is the heir to Harry's things and although he is technically quite wealthy--he and his mum have agreed that he carefully manage how he uses it. He's perhaps put some of it aside for when he's older and has created some sort of limit for himself so he doesn't overdo it. And I assure you that Ginny's done quite well for herself over the years and has created a very her nice and comfortable life for herself and her boys. Regarding Jackson's name and how he came to take on the surname Potter, it's something I'll explain later on in the next few chapters. But I will tell you that Ginny did have to "legally" prove Jackson was Harry's biological son. And I'll leave it at that for now. As for your concern....I'm not going to confirm or deny your thoughts on the Evan Smith/Harry Potter thing...I'll let you all still ponder that while I continue to be horribly vague in my replies. As for your questions on the memory and possible returns if it had return--that'll be addressed in the coming chapters as well. And for the last comment on permanance--nothing is as it seems :) Thanks!

Oh how brilliant this was!

Now, I will let my hopelessly romantic heart speak its mind; Even Smith = Harry Potter! Right?
And if he survived than Mr. Riddle must have 'survived' this mess as well.
Or am I seeing things here that are so not happening. The Angst and Drama have to come from somewhere?!? :)

Author's Response: Hmmmm....yes, the angst and drama are to come ;)

It's about time! I look forward with glee to the next update, and the next and the next and the next ...

Not to be picky but I noticed an error (well I recall there was more than one, I only remember the specifics of one) You used revelry in place of reverie - which ... really doesn't work!!!! :D (Ginny was broken from hers and it really wasn't a time to revel! LOL)

But what's really important is that you are back to updating - yes? Because I reeeeeally want that! :D

Author's Response: Yeah...it was definetly about time! I'm hoping to keep things rolling along here and have updates sonner than later. Yep, that would be an error and the two obviously don't mean the same :)

i have a feeling that that was harry you were talking about (the photographer?), but torn between being ginny got married, but then, yeah, she should have moved on. but i'm really hoping that this will be harry and ginny at the end... since this site is for harry/ginny being meant for each other. by the way, love all your stories. i've seen your FF account.

Author's Response: I'm going to continue to be evil and say "we shall see" when it comes to the book and the photographer. Ginny being married and divorced is something I wanted to include that shows that she tried to make a good life for herself (which she has a great life) and to give her more dimension than just the grieving girlfriend. This is a Harry/Ginny site--that's all I'll say about that. I don't really post on FF. I have part of a story up there. All of my work is here. Thanks again!

Glad to see this story continue. I really like your writing style and characters and look forward to what will happen next. I have a feeling that the muggle book has a place in the next chapter. I am trying to figure out who has the restless heart, Jackson or Ginny.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm trying really hard to develop these characters and am enjoying getting to give Jackson a personality. And regarding the book...we shall see ;) And there are many restless hearts, I assure you. Thanks again!

so well written i'm glad your still working on this project looking forward to your next update

Author's Response: Thanks! I really wanted this chapter out a lot sooner, but real life and a strange case of writer's block (maybe not exactly writer's block--I just couldn't find words I liked enough to make anything coherent for a while) kept me from it. But I think I'm back on track!

I'm really enjoying this story - though I can imagine it's going to get very emotional at some stage. I'm very intrigued by Jackson staring at the picture of the photograhper in the 'Hail" book. Can't wait for the next update - hopefully soon?

Author's Response: Yep...I promise there will be many more moments that tug at the emotional heart-strings :) If I didn't have them---I wouldn't be living up to my name. And I can promise this update will be sooner...I'm already a good chunk of the way into the next chapter. Thanks again!

I'm enjoying the slow set-up on this story. You've given us a pretty good understanding of where Ginny and Jackson are at this point in their lives. I like that Ginny married Paul, even if it didn't work out. That seems like something that would happen with a woman her age, that she would try to go on with her life. She played with the Harpies, married and had another child. Her being only 34 at this point is pretty amazing--she's young enough to have another entire life ahead of her.

Jackson would have a very heavy burden of being Harry's son--and the oldest of his large generation.

I read through all the earlier reviews--I don't have any problem with the level of warnings in the story and the actions of the characters. I look forward to reading more when you have time to write it. Thanks.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review. How long I wanted the setup to be was something I've struggled with, but as you said, I wanted to give Ginny and Jackson a firm foundation of who they are and where they are. And that's exactly what I wanted for Ginny in giving her the things she's experienced so far. I didn't think people really wanted to read a story where Ginny's spent the last 17 years pining for Harry and walking around depressed and unfulfilled. If I understand Ginny's character well enough, she's not one to sit idle and mope. Thanks again!

I like the story, but not quite sure where it's leading. Is Harry going to be alive somehow? I don't know how you can explain him being gone for 17 years if that is the case. Maybe when Jackson becomes an auror something will be revealed? I'm kind of hoping the pace picks up in chapters since updates are sparingly.

Author's Response: Things will pick up in the next chapter.
