Harry was truly happy to be returning to work and I loved the prank they played on him...

On the whole Brian's return to school for the first time went pretty well, but those around him have a lot to learn about how to treat him and he himself will have to face the difficulties one at a time.

Author's Response: You've hit several nails on the head all at once. Teens can be very insensitive in their ignorance, but the stories about how Brian copes once he's back at Hogwarts for good are for another time.

I love the way things are starting to wrap up. It was nice to see that Harry and Ginny are finally going to be getting some definitely needed alone time back home. And Harry back at work...I remember a time in this story when I wondered if he'd ever be able to do that. I'm so glad he's getting his life back again. It means so much to him. Susan and Mary Beth cracked me up, by the way.

I think my favorite part is of Lily and Brian. It's evident that they'll just be friends for awhile since she's so young, but there is definite potential for something more there, I believe.

I noticed you responded earlier that you are planning on doing a few one shots in the future with these characters. I look forward to reading those, though I think it would be fun if we somehow had a full fledged story around them at some point. Just saying... :)

Author's Response: Harry is definitely starting to get his life back. From the beginning, this was the day that Healer Stilwell and Silvia have been preparing him for. He may not be back full time, but it's a start that allows him to continue to train in the mornings. I'm glad you enjoyed the prank. It was fun to write. He's also more relaxed now that he and Ginny have their weekends together. You're right about Lily and Brian being friends for a while. There's plenty of romance that could happen, but Brian needs a friend who understands and accepts him more right now than he does a romantic liason, so friends they'll stay. I really don't know what sorts of stories will come out of the last few chapters of this story, but the potential is there and I already have the plot bunnies beginning to gather... So glad you're anticipating the new stories. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts.

Yeah!! Great chapter, full of lots of good things. It seems like Harry is progressing well and I am so impressed with Ron's handling of everything. It's got to be hard seeing your best friend like that. I loved the kids, it was really great. Lily is so cute.

However, Ron has taken on the responsibility of the investigation and has grown with the position because he feels he needs to be as good as Harry is in his own way. Loved it! Was exactly the scenes I have been waiting to see - especially Harry and Ginny. Looks like Brian is getting used to his new normal too - and with Lily as a part of it! Loved the last chapter, was very realistic to see Scorpius still dealing with his captivity - and especially that Ron was helping him. All of the characters have grown so much in this story. I may not get out here to review as often as I would like, but the first thing I do on Thursday mornings is look for an update. I will be so lost when this story is done! Hope you have some plot bunnies dancing in your head for a new story!

Author's Response: It tickles me pink to know you always look for an update on Thursday mornings! Unfortunately, due to the holidays coming up, I won't be posting again until January. However, I'm writing steadily on up-coming chapters, so I'll be ready to post again soon with more of the scenes you and my other readers all want to see. The Brian/Lily pairing seemed to come naturally because of how he reacted to her at the Quidditch match; she understands what he's going through and can see the real Brian as oppose to the one people are feeling sorry for. Plot bunnies... yes, lots of them because of how I'm leaving Brian and Lily, James and Kendra, Aurors Ron and Harry, and Rose and Scorpius. Look for a series of one-shots in this universe in the future. They will always have Harry and Ginny in them, but will center on how they and Ron and Hermione deal with teenage romance and other parenting problems. I'm glad, too, that you liked the previous chapter. Ron has definitely grown and changed in his attitudes over the plot of this story and it seemed right to have him be the one to mentor Scorpius through his memory.
