Amazing party. I have always been curious about the Galleons to pounds exchange rate. Nice ending as well.

Author's Response: I've actually been to events like this auction that raised lots of money like Ginny's did and they're pretty spectacular. If you go to Harry Potter Wikia, there's an article about Wizarding money its equivalents in British pounds.

I really felt like I was at the auction enjoying the excitement and intensity of the bidding:)

Author's Response: I'm glad I made it real for you. I've gone to several such auctions and based the events of the chapter on those experiences. Thanks for reading.

Wow that's a lot of money!!!!

Author's Response: It is a lot of money, but the sorts of changes Ginny wanted implemented cost a lot, so the more they raise, the easier it will be to keep those changes in place. Thanks for reading.

Oh, I absolutely LOVED the auction! I had almost forgotten about it until now. What a spectacular wrap up to this part of the story. It was so lovely to see so many Weasleys and the the Potters enjoying themselves. I love that Molly and Arthur can afford to spend a little more now in their later years, and I I have to admit that it still surprises me to see their children with the funds to splurge as they did. I'm glad that you gave them the careers and opportunities to be able to do that and that their better fortune has not changed who they are.

This is such a wonderful story. I'm sad to know it's soon coming to a close. I truly look forward to any one-shots or shorter related stories you may post for us from this.

Author's Response: The auction was a chapter I've been planning since I introduced it through Ginny's outburst in chapter seven. The hospital needed an infusion of Galleons if it was going to continue implementing her demands for better care through extra staffing. Although Ginny really didn't have much expertise planning big events, her ideas were fresh and quite attractive to the more well-to-do Wizarding families. I also wanted to show that Arthur and Molly raised their children to be hard workers who are successful in their careers. Maybe Bill doesn't make as much money as a Gringotts employee as George does with his very successful joke shop empire, and maybe Ron and Percy don't make as much as Harry and Ginny, but what they do make allows everyone to live comfortably, send their children to Hogwarts and participate in a worthwhile fundraiser. As Molly told Ginny back in Chapter Nineteen, once all the children left home, there was suddenly extra money they could save so they, too, could participate in important family events. I'm very glad you're enjoying the story.

After all the drama and deep emotion that went on in this story I am glad this was such a happy chapter..

Author's Response: The end to this story is a happy one. The final chapter and the epilogue are both positive in nature because, as Ginny says in DH, every cloud has its silver lining and for these characters who have gone through so much adversity it's time they found that silver lining and turned it into sunlit days. Thanks for reading. The next chapter will be out next week.

The previous two chapters were very powerful. The matron was such a disturbed person and you wrote that very well. But, this chapter? pure sweet fun to read fluff! I loved the whole chapter, especially all the Harry/Ginny scenes. But, the opening scene with Ron and Harry was great. Really liked your take on Arthur and Molly finally being able to recapture some of their youth. And it was really wonderful to see the Weasley's spend with such abandon! I do hope hope one of the one-shots to come is with the Bahamas anniversary celebration with all the Weasley/Potters. This story has been first class from start to finish. So realistic, so powerful and such a happy ending for such a traumatic beginning. Good job!

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter. I think the best part of writing it was the fact that each one of Arthur and Molly's children is prosperous enough that they can participate fully in the auction, as are Molly and Arthur themselves—I had such fun writing Molly winning the last item of the evening and the fact that she obviously outbid someone who had snubbed her repeatedly since Hogwarts! I will definitely be revisiting this universe with one-shot stories because I feel there is so much left to explore with this particular set of characters. Thanks for reading and writing to me. The next chapter will be out this Thursday. See you then!

Great chapter! Loved the auction and the H/G interactions before and after. Wouldn't it be sweet if they were blessed with another little Potter to make up for some of their losses? I think Ron should have been a gentleman and let Madam Offerman win.... ;-) The Bahama vacation was a great idea for the family. Very, very nicely done.

Author's Response: Little Potters may be cute, but at this stage of their lives, I don't thing Harry and Ginny want to spend three years in nappies again! When the little Potters do show up, Grandma and Grandpa Potter will gladly take them for the day and then happily give the thoroughly-spoiled children back to their parents at the end of the day! Oh, the joys of being a grandparent! I disagree with you on Ron and the Cannons' tickets. Madam Offerman wasn't going to be a lady and just give up the fight, she really did want those season tickets. So then why should Ron give them up? I'm glad you liked the results of the auction. Arthur and Molly deserve to have the holiday of their lives, without a care in the world and their prosperous children have happily provided this opportunity for them. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.
