Progress is definitely been made. Harry's mind must be like umpteen balks of wool that are completely tangled up.
I can't see Ginny taking news of Sam well, you can't blame her but he really didn't know. What we don't know is if there's another guy on the scene for her?

Another great chapter. Before I go any further, though, I think a word you used needs to be changed. In the paragraph where Harry is thinking about his accent and his vocabulary, you use the word "diction" --usually meaning pronunciation--to describe his vocabulary. However, the correct word in this context should be "lexicon," which means word list, dictionary or glossary.
The meeting with Ginny feels very realistic. I'm glad she didn't try to hex Harry, but I suppose the time for that passed a long time ago. I'm also glad that she seems willing to accept the possibility that Harry left not of his own free will, thus cementing some of her original theories about why he left her and James. My bet is that it's the family of one of the Death Eaters Harry helped to incarcerate after the war... but I seem to be getting ahead of myself.
As for Harry, I feel rather sorry for him, mostly because of his last thoughts. However, I hope he ultimately chooses to stay in England (if Ginny will have him), because from the sound of previous chapters, his relationship with Sam was about to fall apart.
Well done. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

This is a really rough reunion in this chapter and I think you handled the emotions of the characters really well. I can't wait to see how the rest of the Weasley's react to Harry's return, and also just what happened to resulted in Harry being Obliviated and dumped in the US>
