I love some of the implications of the war and the rebuilding, but I have to be honest that I'm struggling to relate to Ginny. I know she's had a hard year and I can see she'd be desperate to hang on to Harry, but at the same time I never saw her as being so needy in the books. Also Arthur seems a bit conflicted, wanting Harry to take things slowly but also pushing them together.

Author's Response: You are not the first person to question my Ginny. I can only ask you to keep reading. She does become the brave and competent Quidditch player. With her temper, very much like her mother, she is fully equal to Harry in the marriage. I have Harry as almost always nice. I do not have Ginny as quote as good, quite as nice. And Ginny will face challenges, something else I have been criticized for, but she will overcome the challenges. Arthur is really conflicted. I wrote the story that way. He and the ministry really need them together, and ideally married. At the same time this is his not quite 17 year old daughter. Plus Arthur knows he is going to face Molly's wrath if he in any way encourages an early marriage. Please keep reviewing. I appreciate all comments, good or bad, that I can answer. Jet

What an emotional chapter. Well captured.

Author's Response: I tried to make some of the chapters, especially at the start, very emotional. I’m glad that you think I succeeded. A review like this means a lot. Thank you. Jet

Another terrific chapter. The emotional impact is huge, The sheer exhaustion...pyhsical, emotional and psychological...is clearly depicted. Ginny's insecirity must be so sorely tested as these "love letters" flood in and Harry not only deals with his own emotions but Ginny's as well, which he does admirably.

I am worried about this charm she is using...as I think you mean me to! I can see things getting messy!

I thought Harry's explanation about what her father had been talking to him about was spot on:) I can also understand Ginny's almost desperation and fixation on always having to wait. I think her fear of someone stealing Harry away will intensify these feelings.

Author's Response: A regular reviewer is such a blessing. Especially one who actually says something! I tried to write the first days as exhausting and emotion filled days, and am glad if in some little way I have succeeded. If there are days that take chapters to write there also have to be weeks and months that are covered in paragraphs. Hopefully we don’t live our lives in a state of high drama. I think every author has a ‘head canon,’ stories behind the stories. The Touch-of-Lustspell is one of mine. Generations of women, about 2/3’s of which left Hogwarts pregnant. No premature babies, just ‘post-mature’ marriages, including Arthur and Molly and Molly’s grandmother and great-grandmother but not her mother. I think in stories objects like the Elder Wand and a spell like this resist getting lost. I wonder if Lilly Luna will find it? (I know the answer, of course.) If you stick to canon, and I am trying, James is not conceived for several years. Maybe the other ancestors of Molly and Ginny were lucky, or learned birth control before getting pregnant. I have had objections to my Ginny. I’m glad you understand what I am trying to portray. JetLaBarge
