Just finished this story. I enjoyed it :) poor Harry has a very busy life ahead of him. Saw there was a part two...therfore I'm on to reading that one to see what is next for Harry and friends.

Author's Response: Harry has a busy life ahead, but I don't think he would want it any other way. He will get enough vacation time in the years ahead, and enough family time. Of course not everything will be easy. That's life. Thank you for reading the whole story, and for the review. The second story has just finished, and my beta and I are working on the third. Jet

Congratulations to you on completing such a long story. I admire your patience for sticking to it till the end and not leaving us readers high and dry after beginning a promising story (as has been the case many a time on SIYE).
One could almost make out the change in writing style as one progressed through the chapters. For the better, mind you. I think your writing matured as you wrote. I began my hpff journey with Mrs.Granger's stories. References to her stories made me recall all of it.
Looking forward to reading your other stories before you graduate to better and bigger things(and paying, hopefully :) ).

Author's Response: A lot of people start a 19 year story and can’t finish it. I think a lot of them don’t know where they want to go with the story. I sat down and did a real rough draft through all the 19 years, with the start of an Albus/Rose story, before I started to publish. I found out how much I needed to learn. Eventually I started over, with an outline of where I wanted to conclude the first 4 stories. The First Year, Ginny’s Happily Ever After ending, Harry’s not so sure. Capturing the Bad Guys, Harry’s Happily Ever After (sort of) and what ends Ginny’s Quidditch career. The Birth of the Potter Children. Raising Albus, as the affairs of the Wizarding world outside Britain seem to involve Harry and Albus. The Albus story is a mess, but I know where I want to go. Rowling said I believe that she had final battle in mind before she had written the first book. I also have had the fortune to have some excellent Beta readers including Mrs_Grainger and LadymBlack. FriendofMolly, one of the most faithful reviewers on the site, is now a beta. And I have subscribed to Writers Journal and bought a few books on writing. I’m trying to get better. I’ve also learned that you are never going to keep people interested if you write about Happy People in Happy Land. Without conflict and tension you don’t have a story. For me true to canon means good and faithful Harry and Ginny, but bad things can happen to them and their family. I need a real good Beta, maybe even a co-author, before I write the one original Science Fiction book I’ve started. Meanwhile I’m going to finish this damn saga. I may not be the best writer, but I’m going to publish 19 years and beyond. Thank you so much for your review. Jet LaBarge

Great story. Congratulations.

Author's Response: Thank you! Thank you for reviewing several chapters. The first chapter of Bad Guys and Broomsticks is waiting for validation. I hope you like it as well. Jet

I've been following this story from the beginning, and it's been quite enjoyable. Your 'head canon' is quite a bit different than mine, so I occasionally find myself disagreeing with a characterization or something, but I've found it interesting to explore a very different type of universe from the one I imagine. Good job.

If this one is indeed finished, it might be a good idea to mark it as such, so it can be nominated in the 'Completed' category for the Silver Trinkets.

Author's Response: Everyone’s head canon is different! I try to stick to the books. There is at least one part of the movie, where Harry breaks the Elder Wand, that I absolutely do not follow. It’s going to take a long time to find out why. I use some of Rowling’s comments, but I’m not a slave to them. As I work with beta readers (you are invited if you want to help) to finish the next three books I also have an Albus story developing. I like the idea of soul bonds, but in the 2nd generation story Albus is the one paired up early. It really bothers Harry, and Ginny is at times in full blown panic over it. If Albus has adventures try and see the story from Harry and Ginny’s eyes. I don’t think it’s a lot of fun being the parent of a hero. I have just market the story complete. It and the next stories will all be part of the “Almost Happily Ever After” series. Jet LaBarge

A very enjoyable Through Harry and Ginny's start in life together.

Author's Response: Bad Guys and Broomsticks starts within the next two weeks. Ginny faces the challenges of a very demanding sports career. Harry faces his own challenges. I hope it’s at least as good as this story. Hopefully I’ve learned something. Thank you for your reviews. Jet LaBarge
