Scrimgeour is right, an alliance against Voldemort is certainly a good thing. On the other hand, Harry is right, too. Trust is built by the little things. A Ministry with people like Umbridge in authority cannot be trusted, at least not completely. And an alliance is only as good as the trust between the involved parties. Is Harry's deal with the Ministry is a good thing? Only time can tell. I'm curious to know the all the details of Harry's deal with the MoM.
Moody is funny. He demands from Harry that he shall grow up. On the other hand, he constantly tries to prevent exactly this by his way of treating Harry. He tries to dictate every detail in Harry's life.
That's interesting, a Secret Service Man with a gun as Muggle Studies professor. I fear that all the Hogwarts love birds will be banned from the Astronomy tower because the Hogwarts tower are converted into a machine-gun nests, lol.
Great chapter! Thanks again!

Author's Response: Harry’s dealings with the Ministry will continue to progress as the story unfolds. We will have to see how the trust evolves.

Moody is indeed an odd duck, he is a militant mind, with a lifetime of political and investigative experience. But, one thing he is not is a father. He tends to see Harry as under his command, but he is also looking for Harry to emerge as a leader.

You might take a closer look at Mr. Flemming, he is not likely to bring wide ranging Muggle technology to Hogwarts, but he might have a few surprises for us, especially if he has been to see Q before stepping into this story.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

A very effective outcome, indeed! Nobody in the Wizarding world would have guessed that a Muggle could so easily dispatch someone like Yaxley with such ease and aplomb. I'm glad his defence was effective. "Ministry Mahem" indeed.

That Harry was able to swallow his pride and control his anger during his meeting with the Minister is definitely a sign that he is maturing. He still has a long way to go, but it's encouraging that he was able to make various compromises in order to work with the Minister to begin mustering support for the Ministry's defence of the "light" side of the conflict.

Well done. I look forward to whatever the "Jungle" is.

Author's Response: Mr. Flemming is a rather special Muggle. Does, 'Her Majesty's Secret Service' set of any alarms?
Thank you so much for your comments! Next chapter is a Draco chapter. Thanks again!

Wow, that was a rather action packed chapter. It would have been funny if Ginny had jinked Hermione in the beginning of the chapter, but she is rather a bit more patient than me. Interesting that Moody is playing such a large roll in Harry's life and his decisions. Scrimgeour seems to be trying at least, but to say Harry is his biggest problem would really point to him not facing reality. He needs Harry and wants to help him, but he is rather condescending and rude to him. I think Harry has a rather valid point, if the Ministry can't even be bothered to investigate Stan's actions or Umbridge's actions. There is enough evidence to send Stan to Azkaban while Malfoy can buy his way out. It will be interesting to see what Scrimgeour and the Ministry can add to Harry's training. I'm glad McGonagall will be headmistress and having a Muggle professor would be very interesting. How are they going to protect him? I realize he has a gun, but he still won't be able to deflect spells or activate defences. Can't wait to see how he will react.

Author's Response: I am glad you enjoyed it! It might have been funny to have Ginny Jinx Hermione, but then again Hermione was only being herself and trying to be helpful.
Moody has a large role in this chapter, and he is the head of the Order now, but all-in-all he is not going to have any more pull on Harry than any one else.
It should be interesting to watch how the Minister's actions unfold.
Who said anything about Lucious Malfoy buying his way out of Azkaban??
And as for our Mr. Flemming, as a member of 'Her Majesty's Secret Service' he will have a few tricks up his sleeve and will be able to take care of himself. Plus Muggle Studies has just become a very interesting class!
Thanks you so much for your comments!

Love your story. Keep the updates coming ;-)

Author's Response: I am working on them. However we are rapidly coming to the end of the written chapters and I am afraid the updates will become less frequent. Still I hope you will stay with me for the journey! Thanks
