I hope that was meant to happen!

Author's Response: The perks of reading it once it has already been posted is you don't have to wait long to find out!

Aargh! I saw that your story was marked complete, but now I find out that I have to wait for the last chapter! My heart won't take more of this, captain!

Author's Response: Isn't that the worst when you see that a new chapter is written but not yet validated? Haha

OK, I see your intentions and I quit agree that Ginny understands Harry and would accept part of the blame for the 'botch up" Still what Harry did was hurtful and (constructive criticism) since the story is written from Harry's POV and Ginny has said nothing about any of this, how is the reader to know?
I think the story would be greatly improved if you added an explanation from Ginny to their conversation. Something like: "Harry, I don't deny that what you did hurt, but it was partially my fault. I thought I could handle our little charade, but I was wrong, and I gave in to temptation." This would also give Harry an opportunity to apologize for his thoughtless joke and get that redemption he needs.

Author's Response: That's a great point. It's very difficult to write a third person limited story and try to give hints to the reader as to what other characters are thinking without the character who limits the narration looking too stupid or finding out more than I want at any given time. Just making it part of the conversation is good, though, and I hope I get some of that in the last chapter. Thanks!

I feel for both of them, but Ginny...she's being really cruel. She tells Harry how she feels and then she's off flirting with another boy. Obviously Harry should be worried about her being married with children by the end of the war - even if it doesn't last long. Harry, I can see throwing himself into his training, but for all the clueless duo is bleating about helping him - they aren't. He's training and going on missions without them, so he's distancing himself from all of them. Not saying it's a good idea, but he is obviously committed to it. Ginny couldn't offer him some hope she'd wait?

Author's Response: Ron and Hermione are trying to help him. He just won't let them. Also, Ginny flirting was from Harry's point of view. She was likely just being a kind person like we know her to be, but Harry saw more than what was actually happening.

Harry voluntarily letting a Stunner hit him? Now that's out of character, but it has me interested in finding out the purpose of his plan. I hope it works out in the end.

The fact that both Harry and Ginny are stubborn, strong-willed people has certainly put their friendship on rocky ground. What Ginny said to him seems valid and his acknowledgement that she was right made me sad for both of them.

Bring on the last chapter! Well done.

Author's Response: Harry has a plan, don't worry. He's dealt with Snackers before and knows how dumb they are!

ha ha, amusing chapter :)

Author's Response: Thank you much! I would like to think this is a comedy, so I'm glad you found it funny.

Get out of that one.

Author's Response: I'm sure he has a plan...and phrasing...

I think Ginny is being a bit hard on Harry, especially since she didn't understand what their relationship was either until after they were 'seeing' each other. Of course, Harry is no better and I want to knock some sense into him. I did think it was rather harsh of Ginny to be off flirting with another boy so soon after revealing her true feelings for Harry to Harry. I think she would need to take some time to wallow in her own self-pity and misery instead of trying to make Harry jealous. I was shocked that Dumbledore would take Harry on such a risky mission without any sort of back-up. That is very irresponsible of him. Curious to see how you are going to wrap this up in one more chapter.

Author's Response: I think Ginny was quite understanding of Harry and his situation. She doesn't like what's happened, but she respects Harry's choices and nature--that's one of the reasons she likes him so much. Also, two things about Ginny flirting: first, we've already learned she is too nice to turn guys down...so it is likely a reflexive response to a guy coming to her. And second, this was told from Harry's perspective. I'm pretty sure it wasn't all that flirtatious, but Harry would see any interaction as flirtatious at this point. Ginny's look back at Harry was supposed to dispel any fear that she was already moving on. Finally, Dumbledore taking Harry on a dangerous mission....irresponsible or trusting? Or both, perhaps...what hasn't been included much in this story beyond a few hints here and there is that Dumbledore and Harry have been training a lot of late, and he's a very capable wizard.

Good chapter. Feels a bit if an inbetweeny.... But I guess you know that from your chapter description!
Good to see that ginny really does know harry and isn't holding his actions against him... Too much!

Author's Response: Yea, Ginny's understanding for sure, but she still wants what she wants. This whole thing must be as tough on her as it is on Harry.

Harry needs to get his head out of his ass and back with Ginny....then it would be fine for what he was about to do....kutgw

Author's Response: Right you are! I suspect he'll come to the same conclusion soon enough...

Well this was unexpected, and I have to say unrealistic. After being hurt (her heart broken for the second time), I don't think there is any chance that Ginny would respond like this. You see once trust is broken, it is a long and difficult process to restore it, and sometimes it cannot be restored. Where is that restoration process? Are you saving it for the last chapter?

Author's Response: I appreciate your honesty with how you felt about this chapter. If you read my previous response to your earler review, you will see what I had hoped to get across in this chapter. I really don't think trust was ever broken. Ginny likely feels as much of the blame in how everything went down as Harry does. Despite this, yes...there will be some redemption for Harry soon.
