I like having Sirius hang out with Harry most of the year. How does Remus not recognize him? I don't get that at all - even if for some reason he doesn't recognize one of his best friends, he doesn't say anything? The whole book is predicated on the fact at Sirius recognizes Peter from a picture, but Remus doesn't recognize the big black dog hanging out with Harry. Why didn't Harry have permission to go to Hogsmeade? Petunia wouldn't have any reason to withhold it or he could have appealed to his grandmother.
Glad that Harry and Ginny got together so soon. I thought that Ron was going to be behind so many boys asking Ginny out all of a sudden. Ron doesn't seem to understand Harry and Ginny have a unique attachment which leads me to think he and Harry aren't really all that close.

I like the way how Snuffles-Padfoot has found his way into the life of Ginny and Harry. This was only topped by the conversation between Ginny and Harry, which eventually led to the Valentines Hogsmeade appointment. Very well done!

You've summarized my favorite book quite well so far. I love how Sirius Black was conveniently in the shelter when Harry and his grandmother went looking for Dudley's pet and ended up taking him home with them. It surprised me that Dumbledore would allow Harry to bring Snuffles to Hogwarts, but what a great way to get Sirius on the grounds and in a good home so that he wouldn't have to eat rats or garbage. However, I think the part that touched my fluffy spot the most was the last scene between Ginny, Cormac and Harry with Harry winning the fair maiden in the end. Well done.

So puberty is starting to hit Harry. Jealousy and hormones are starting to come into play.
Great chapter. I like that Snuffles has had a chance to get to know Harry and Ginny. Hopefully that will make the end of the year a easier for Harry.
Looking forward to the next chapter.
