A perfect stroke of the pen to have Harry finally drive home the truth that is love...

Through much of this story you write our protagonists as the struggling teens that they, rather than the idealised icons we might wish them to be. Reality is more difficult to read than ideality, however the reward that comes with the epiphanous apparation of true sincerity makes it worth it.

One tiny quibble with Kingsley saying, "I know it seems like a lot to ask...". I believe a straight shooter of his character would say, "I know it *is* a lot to ask..."

Author's Response: I'm sort of speechless after this review! Thank you so much. This is perhaps the most meaningful review I have ever received, especially coming from someone whose writing I respect so thoroughly. Thank you so much! And, good catch on Kingsley's statement. I agree. That would have been a better decision.

The scene between Ginny and Molly was wonderful as well as the scene at the very end. However, it was overshadowed by something else. I'm quite peeved that Kingsley took advantage of the situation and summoned Harry from Ginny’s bedside to trick him to join the Aurors.
Now that Harry knows that many Death Eaters are still free and that Ginny is one of their main targets, I genuinely hope that he doesn't send her back to Hogwarts alone. I would be very disappointed in him.

Author's Response: Maybe it's just me, but I don't thinkHarry could survive a day without Ginny at his side. I personally don't understand how Jo could have thought he would want to become an Auror after the living Hell he endured, compounded by the separation from the woman who brought him so much love and happiness that he felt he was living someone else's life!

Author's Response: Anyway, since I am trying to get back to her canon in a way that makes some semblance of rational sense, I figured something big would have to motivate him to go that way, and it would have to be compelling enough to bring Ginny along. I hope this long-winded explanation makes sense!

Such a happy ending to this chapter, but what a sad road to it...

Harry's discovery of just how much evil was lurking in the shadows. hoping to rise in Voldemort's absence... The poor guy just can't catch a break! And then there's Pansy. I didn't foresee her mother giving her the boot, but since we've never seen her mother before it's not too far out there. If only she'd been more like Narcissa. Narcissa's priority was always Draco, but Pansy's mom seems to put her husband first. That's understandable in its own way, but at this point it's just seems sad and bitter.

Is this the last we'll see of Miss Parkinson? And will Draco manage to get away with (almost) murder?

Author's Response: Your reviews always make me feel happy! I know they will (a) understand what I was trying to communicate; (b) raise excellent insights; and, (c) make me think about what I have planned next! Thank you so much! What can I safely disclose? Yes, we will see more of Pansy! If Draco listens to his mom, he will have a chance to keep playing the game of survival, if not the game of thrones! LOL!

What a rollercoaster of emotions.

Author's Response: I just tried to imagine what it must have been like for Ginny. Yes, the man she has had her sights set on since she was no bigger than a bowtruckle has fallen in love with her, but what does it all mean?

Such a sad chapter! The conversation between Molly and Ginny was wonderful, as was Harry's reassurance that Ginny is what he wants and what he needs. Pansy's mother was horrible. What a despicable woman! Once again you managed to make me feel truly sorry for Pansy. Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I don't really know where the sympathy arose for Ms. Parkinson's. I guess I figured not all Slytherins are irredeemable and I couldn't fully redeem a spineless coward like Draco!

Now it's harder on both of them but easier for both of them to see what the other has gone through over the last year and a half. I'm glad to see that Jenny and Molly had a very good heart to heart talk, and opened up a new chapter for both to move forward. Harry has learned some lessons, he's learning not to jump in with both feet and that is a very good thing. I still hope they make it through with the loss of their child, but they will make it in the end I think. Kutgw

Author's Response: I honestly don't see how any of these characters could simply pick up and move happily forward without some fairly deep emotional exchanges. Thank you!
