Reviews For A Proper Epilogue

Reviewer: melindaleo Signed Date: 2018.02.15 - 12:02PM Title: Chapter 19 - Puzzle Pieces (or Deus ex Machina?)

Ooh, I love the intrigue! Love the idea of the Death Eater wives seizing control and attempting to run things. I find them far more imposing than their husbands! Cissy can hold her own with Kingsley, but I'd really love to see Draco survive a night in Ministry lock up. Now that would be an amusing read!

Author's Response: Maybe I am missing something in real life, but the males of our species who turn to bullying and intimidation by force are rarely very complex or sophisticated, relying instead on brute force. But the women are another matter, entirely! Iā€™m so glad this struck a chord. I hope my next story can further investigate this idea! After all, power in the Wizarding World does not reside in testosterone or in the Y chromosome! I find that possibility fascinating!

First of all, I hope you're not offended I'm taking forever to make my way through the story! It's a fascinating tale; just that my free time often now gets taken up with site issues and whatnot.

Anyway, the 'story after the story' construct in your Epilogue seems more intriguingly tangled than the first part -- lots of cloak and dagger! Pansy herself, however, is so very not-cloak-and-dagger. An interesting tragic heroine.

Anyway hope all's well. With luck, I should be popping back into your review space again soon!

Author's Response: Greetings! I am in no way offended. To the contrary, I am pleased and honored that you are spending this much time on my story. Thank you. Now, I think I need to review this chapter in order to understand your comments!

Oh, my! I'm having difficulty imagining what could possibly be going on now. On the other hand, I have never considered the Death eaters wives as much as I should have. This is truly fascinating!

Author's Response: Magic makes the females just as powerful and potentially dangerous as any wizard! As Fred and George warned up, we need only look at Ginny!

An unexpected event, indeed! Good catch by Harry that the wives may be behind the attack! (BTW, I saw a t-shirt on google with "DEUS EX MACHINA" on it) After all, as the old saying goes, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"! And it wouldn't be any surprise that Deathmunchers' wives would be involved! Can't blame Pansy for ending up on the floor......obviously realized her mom could have done it! Could work out financially for her tho, especially if they get her dad too! Thanks for updating so quick! Looking forward to the next one with bated breath! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Author's Response: You are, as per usual, right on the money with your observations. Thank you so much for your deadly accurate comments and helpful thoughts!

What I am left wondering is have you left wiggle room for a misdirection on a whodunnit angle? We have a handful of dark Stepford wives that seem to be the perpetrators? Was the meeting a heating pad party, or something more devious?

The restricted section eh? I once read a strange story with Albus rummaging around for a Greek mythos story. He put his arm around the young librarian's shoulder and walked him out to close the story. Kansas City, here I come. Lol, that one always makes me laugh.

Author's Response: Well, lots to cover! Stepford Wives? I hadn't seen them that way, but that could be a good plot bunny! I can't really believe how graphic this story was the first time! To my mind, sex should, at its best, be a powerful expression of love, and not just an enjoyable way to fill a block of leisure time! As such, what I wrote was designed to be extremely intense, but reflective of the extremely intense commitment that exists between our key couples. The one obvious exception was the merging of Draco and Pansy, which reflected the oposite extreme. When only one person feels intense love and commitment, and the other clearly does not, the result is abusive, if not downright abuse. It is probably too much information, but even after almost 40 years of marriage and 44 years together, it NEVER gets old. BUT, the rules of this site are much more restrictive, so I have spent a lot of time trying to retain the sense of loving commitment, but tone it down so as not to offend the sensitive. Perhaps I've gone a step too far, because this story is going to end up being five chapters shorter than the original!

This story is getting better and better each time. At some point, you will have to mention Andromeda Tonks and Teddy. Then you will have to touch on Narcissa and Andromeda.... Draco and Teddy... as these characters are kin. Also, with the Death Eaters at large, will the DA be mobilised once more? How about the Muggle born withes and wizards who were badly treated under the Commission led by that toad faced woman. who likes pink and giggles a lot...... potential army in the making.... what do you think? Your story has so much potential that it can go on for a very long time... After all, 19 years is a long time.

Author's Response: You are so, so correct. The potential here is endless. Unfortunately, the scope of this story is limited and won't cover the entire waterfront. In fact, we are winding down (or up?) to the conclusion pretty rapidly with this story. I have started a sequel, but don't know how far it will go, either. I've been recovering from a very serious health crisis, so I had a lot of time to write for fun! Still, I hope to keep going. Only time will tell! Thank you so much for your very kind words and for taking the time and making the effort to leave consistent reviews. I can't express how much it means to know that people (generally! LOL!) like the work!

Oh Draco... Once a prat, always a prat. It's like he's an overgrown toddler sometimes. Narcissa really is a badass! I wonder what brought her and Lucius together in the beginning. Did he know this side of her, but then expected her to take a backseat to his ambitions? Or did she always fall into a more demure roll until he died? Interesting.

Again Pansy has come a long way in a short time. I guess doing the deed with Draco was akin to a religious experience for her. She really saw the light afterward and turned it all around. Or will this change only be temporary? I have to admit that I'm surprised to admit that I hope she does stay on the relatively straight and narrow. It's nice to see a Slytherin who can be ambitious and cunning, but not use their drive for evil. That's what I feel is left out of the books. I think Zabini is the closest we get for a Slytherin who manages to mostly stay out of the bullying and blood purity obession, though he doesn't really come across as a great guy either,

Though Narcissa seems determined to avoid the Death Eaters, I am left wondering how she will take being left out of this plan. Is she grateful or does she feel slighted? She was invited apparently, but still...

And what must Pansy be thinking now?

Author's Response: Wonderful observations and questions, as always! Thank you for the great input! I could give you a lengthy answer, or just edit the next few chapters, in which everything will become, if not clear, at least relatively apparent! LOL!

Oh boy Oh Merlin..... What? Excellent. I am so depressed because the weather in London is so appalling and your updates cheers me up big time. Thank you.

Well there is a right time and a wrong time to conduct an interview. Pansy just got her head wound around, and now knows that her mother is no better off than her father. As for Cissy and Draco they just played the right him with the help not being in the loop of anything going on. Kutgw

Author's Response: You nailed it on the first point! On the second, I am a bit slow on the uptake. If you get a moment, could you give me a touch more insight? THANK YOU,
