Great idea and a great story. It was a bit of a downer that they forgot their heart's desire again. When I read the title of the chapter, confessions, I was so sure they'd remember. But hey, at least they pulled a good prank on dumb bridge.

Author's Response: You are not the first person who has said this story was sad! I hadn't intended it that way -- I'd thought it would be more bittersweet because, even though they don't remember, they are still each other's heart's desire, even though it might take them some time to find their way to each other. I also wanted this to be canon compliant, so having them remember would mean it wouldn't fit into canon. Hermione was the only one who remembered because I thought she would be the only character who would decide to keep it quiet. Thanks for the reviews!

Aww nuts! I kept hoping for an inkling of recognition between Harry and Ginny at the end, and thought sure the sight of the bandage would jog their memories. But no.
Also, I'm dying to know what Umbridge was writing... I hate to think it was merely a grocery list.
Great story though! I really enjoyed it, with all the twists and turns. I am left with one significant mystery though, What did Dean do to get detention from Snape?
Author's Response: I thought about having them remember, but it didn’t fit with canon so decided against it. Dean got detention because Snape caught him in the kitchens sneaking out fizzy drinks (for Ginny, of course. He’s not giving up that easily). I wanted to set up Dean and Ginny’s relationship, so I thought having him show interest in her (without the potion) and then spending the next day in detention together would make sense.

Absolutely wonderful story! Cannon compliant, explains how Dean and Ginny get together, and one of the most original stories I've read in a long time. Excellent dialogue between Ginny and Harry, though I have to say the best line came from Romilda, "yes we are the most beautiful". Well done.
