I liked Sirius's reasoning, and that, when Sirius didn't tell Harry whom he should marry, immediately stinksap in his girlfriends red hair and Mrs Weasley sprung to his mind, lol. I'm quite curious if he'll notice that later.

It's a relief to know that Harry is determined to get our of his funk now that he's talked with Cedric. Hedwig's dressing down of Harry in her initial "conversation" with him made me smile as did his arranging for dinner delivery each day: Molly Weasley will be rather pleased that Harry will look better fed when he finally goes to stay at The Burrow later in the summer. You did a nice job with Scruffy's personality and dialect. I like that pub elf quite a lot.
The crowning portion of this chapter was Harry's discussion with Sirius. You handled it quite well, especially when Sirius helped Harry puzzle out a few important things. It seems that only after he's gone does Sirius become serious about his role in Harry's life. I hope that this version of the Ghost of Christmas Past helps Harry to understand that various things happen for a purpose and that dwelling on the past isn't a healthy thing unless you learn from your mistakes.
Well done. I'm looking forward to the rest of your story.
Author's Response: I imagine Sirius' state of mind wasn't too great there for quite some time after his escape from Azkaban. I figure that the afterlife provided him the healing and help he needed, and being allowed to become the godfather he was always meant to be was kind of a blessing as well as penance.

Great to see a new chapter from you, Duke! I think Harry's chat with Sirius did him alot of good! The elf delivered meals from the Leaky is a nice touch! Sounds like Harry has a red head in his future! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
