Well I think the press will still pay a role in Harry’s life but for right now they are in for a beating from some big people...kutgw

Author's Response: It's definitely hard to get away from the press completely. Harry won't deal with them directly again for some time, mainly because he's got both Sirius and Dumbledore to demand they stay away. Thank you!

inb4 press manages to comment on Harry’s panic attack, and as a result Sirius sues the firm to hell and back.

Author's Response: Sirius actually managed to Apparate himself and Harry away from the press before they could realize that Harry was having a panic attack, but between him and Dumbledore, nothing big is going to come out of that encounter besides a silly headline like "Chosen One and Godfather have Lunch in Hogsmeade" or somesuch like it. Thanks!

Sirius was great in this chapter. I loved seeing him scolding Harry and not automatically taking her side as she expected him too. He was great in dealing with Harry and the awful press. I'm glad he got poor Harry out of there. Voldemort berating him constantly has to wear him down.

Author's Response: I love writing Sirius and getting to explore the kind of person he can really be without constantly being weighed down by all the crap sent his way. I love Hermione, but her insistence on always being in the right can be a bit wearing sometimes. Having Sirius push back was important to me because Hermione needs to know she's not always right or in charge of her friends, and because I really feel like Harry needs an adult firmly in his corner, which Sirius is able to be for him between taking care of his needs, defending him, and protecting him. As for Harry's troubles, there are going to be days that are better than others, and the better days will eventually start becoming more frequent than the bad days. Thank you!

Another great chapter! I did recognize bits and bobs from HBP, but it still makes me grin every time Harry bests Hermione in Potions. I also smiled when he realized exactly what the third scent was he smelt with the aid of the Amortentia.

It seems that a little of Hermione's curiosity about certain things has rubbed off on Harry and I nearly cheered when he told Sirius about researching why the sopophorous bean gave so much more juice when crushed with a silver knife. That Sirius put Hermione in her place was a bonus. Hopefully, she'll learn from the experience and not jump to conclusions or be so critical before she has more evidence.

Yeah for Harry's new glasses. While going to get new ones every year is a pain, not seeing the board well during class certainly hampered Harry. I'm glad that Ginny and Hermione's reactions to his new glasses cheered him up.

Well done. I look forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: I enjoyed the dynamics between Harry and Hermione when it came to potions class and that book in particular in canon. I also knew Harry would recognize the third scent after having spent all summer surrounded by it lol Harry is a pretty curious guy, but I think he tends to prefer learning in the moment when something comes up as opposed to the levels of digging Hermione does just to know things. In my mind, he was working on his potions essay when Ginny wondered out loud why it worked to crush the bean with the silver knife rather than cutting it, and he decided to see if he could figure it out. I really enjoyed having Sirius put Hermione in her place, but he does have the bigger picture here and sees the good that comes from Harry's success with the book. Hermione definitely struggles with thinking she knows best, and we'll see some more of that as the story goes on. It's been about 3 years since I got my glasses prescription updated, and it's starting to really get to me. I can't imagine having the same prescription for as long as Harry did! When I read OotP for the first time and Harry was squinting through the steam, all I could think was "update your prescription, kid!" even though I knew it would never be addressed in the books. Anyway, thank you for your kind review!

Poor Harry, all that stress. I'm truly worried about his breaking point. Sirius is delightful at the rescue.
Great chappie,MNF

Author's Response: I won't lie, there are some definite bumps along the road, but Harry is tough and definitely not prepared to just give up. Sirius is always going to do what he can to be there for Harry when he needs it. Thank you!

Glad to see another stellar chapter! I think undertow was an apt description of Harry's encounter with the press! Good thing Sirius was with him to save the day! And of course a snog with Ginny never hurts! Keep this coming! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Author's Response: Thank you! Harry is very lucky that Sirius was there to get Harry out of that particular situation. A good snog with Ginny is always a good thing for Harry lol thanks again!
