That proposal was out of nowhere, granted they've been spending a lot of time together lately. Maybe it's the deterioration of Voldemort's spell that sped up his feelings for her or the fact that Ginny was rather lonely when they met so I kind of get it now. Still a bit too fast for me though lol.
The Weasley's seem thrilled with them being engaged so soon but I have a feeling they knew she was lonely and slightly miserable and just want Ginny to be happy.
I have a feeling if Hermione's research doesn't yield the results Harry wants, he'll end up telling Ginny himself, at least, I hope he does. No one should have to hide who they really are from the ones they love. I just hope that since she's a Muggle, she's able to handle the truth.
George still being George from canon is actually a relief. I couldn't see him as anything other than a carefree prankster.

Author's Response: I don't think Harry's proposal was too hasty because within six months of meeting him, I knew my husband was my "Mr. Right." Harry recognizes this in Ginny and decides to act on it sooner rather than later. Besides, if they have a long engagement, they'll learn about each other more, just like if Harry waits another six months and then they spend only a short time planning the wedding. I think her family realizes that after what they've put her through, she needs her own bit of happiness, even if George persists in being the family prankster and uses Harry for his newest guinea pig. Oh, you'll just have to wait and see what happens with Hermione's research. More on that in future chapters. Thanks for reading.

What a sweet chapter. Harry has to tell her soon who he really is. The yarn sounds like something we'd buy, and we both know what it's like to give someone something and have them appreciate it.

Oh, who doesn't love a Weasley Christmas? I really enjoyed the gift opening at Harry's and the mug from Teddy. That just hit my warm, happy spot. I'm on the edge of my seat!

I'm curious what will happen first, whether Harry tells Ginny that he's a wizard, or if Ginny notices that something is odd. She's already imagining of moving and speaking portraits. I hope she was at least decent when she walked past the portraits in the hallway, lol.

Ah, yes. The Statute of Secrecy. After reading the update last week, we discussed it on our Discord server - who might be allowed to know about it...and at what point, lol. I think the next thing I'm going to ponder is if Muggles can ride a broom, lol.

Author's Response: I think your second guess is your best bet with this story. Ginny has started to see weird things, especially with her phone and her suspicions about the portraits. When she left Harry's room, she *was* wearing Harry's dressing gown, thank goodness. The Statute of Secrecy plays a big part in the latter half of this story. I did some extensive research on the subject and what I learned is in the next few chapters. Oh, you'll just have to wait to see if Muggles can ride a broom. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

What a fun and entertaining chapter this was! Hooray for Harry and Ginnys' engagement! The family took it very well an George is still a prankster! Hope that couch isn't lumpy! Can't help but be a little apprehensive (like Hermoine obviouly is) about when Ginny finds out Harry is a wizard! He needs to be honest with her ASAP! Author's Response: I agree that true love will overcome anything, but the road to that destination just might be bumpy. I'm so glad you approve of Harry asking Ginny to marry him. It seemed a foregone conclusion that since her love was helping him get well, that he would want to give her some happiness back. Now, all Harry has to do is find his Gryffindor courage the tell her he's a wizard! By the way, it wouldn't be a Weasley family dinner without George pranking someone and who better to prank than the newest prospective member of the family? Of course, the sofa is lumpy; it survived all seven of Arthur and Molly's children and now is going through their grandchildren! Thanks for reading and reviewing.
