I'm guessing Harry is relapsing from Voldemort's spell? Ginny and his love for her is what was helping him heal and now that he doesn't have it, he's going to get worse? I'm sure you wouldn't kill off Harry and I don't think the spell was intended to kill him, just make him suffer. I wonder if Ginny goes back and finds him or if it will be Hermione.
Author's Response: As the Wicked Witch of the West says in the Wizard of Oz, "All in good time, my pretty! All in good time." Actually, Harry collapsed because he'd magically exhausted himself with a spell he didn't have the magical power to cast and a self-induced coma is how his body is coping with healing itself. While Ginny has withdrawn her love from the equation, Harry already knows that he's capable of loving again, so that's a plus for him. It's just going to take time for his body to recover and time for Ginny to reject/accept the reality of magic. You'll just have to wait for another chapter to find out who finds Harry. Thank you for the definition you gave the Horcrux hunt. It was something which sometimes felt like it was edited out of the original book. This chapter broke my heart too.

Author's Response: When I first decided what would happen in this story, I knew Harry had to be older than seventeen. The only way to do that was to prolong the war by making the Horcrux hunt longer and more detailed. I also needed events that caused Harry and Hermione to grow up even more than they did in the books, so your compliment is appreciated. OH I hate your cliffys and what a major misunderstanding this is! Not good at all! Ginny is a basket case and Harry is an unconscious mess - hope he survives! Dun, dun, dun... Whelp, I'd been annoyed with Hermione for being so nosy - this is what I get for it! And now we get to see how badly Harry has hurt himself...
Author's Response: I appreciate that Hermione's nosiness annoyed you, but I can't say I'm sorry for writing her that way. She's one of those people who take their responsibility to heart and up until this point, Harry has given her that responsibility because he has needed someone to look after him. However, since he started going out with Ginny, he hasn't needed Hermione that much and has even asked her to back off! I know it's annoying that she chose this exact moment to actually listen to him, but she did and now they're both suffering the consequences. Next week's chapter will definitely give you an idea of what Harry did to himself. Thanks for reading.

It seems as if Harry became a rather practized Obliviator during the war. Bad luck for Ginny. The chances that she will ever remember the good times with Harry seem slim. I just hope that Hermione knows that meddling with Ginny's memories to fix things is a bad idea, it's dangerous and ethically questionable.
Intriguing chapter, I'm pretty curious what you're up to, to fix things.
Author's Response: In this story, the Second Wizarding War took five years to end. If Harry and Hermione were going to survive, the absolutely had to learn how to Obliviate people, whether they were victims or Death Eaters, in order to stay safe..
I disagree with your hypothesis that Ginny won't remember the good times with Harry. On the contrary, he only wanted her to forget the past forty-five minutes, the time it took them to argue over magic. Everything else about their relationship she remembers! Hermione won't have to meddle with Ginny's memories, so nothing unethical or dangerous will happen to her. There will be more about this in future chapters.

Author's Response: I keep asking readers: when has Harry ever waited for the experts or authority figures before acting on his plans? Wow! That was amazing, I really liked the back-story, the cafe scene reminded me of Deathly Hallows Pt1 (the movie), I'm eager for the next one!
Author's Response: When I'm writing, I like to stick to canon as much as possible, even when I'm altering canon basics like I'm doing in this story. So yes, the café scene does reflect what happened in Deathly Hallows. There will be more flashbacks in future chapters. Thanks for reading.

Poor Harry! Poor Ginny! What a time for Hermione to decide to honor his need for privacy! I really hope she is able to help him. I imagine this will set back his recovery quite a bit.
