Hermione can be so single minded at times, this is her at her worst - convinced she is right and no one else's opinion counts. If Hagrid isn't onboard, that should tell her something. The experimenting on Muggles is horrible, but certainly not out of the realm of possibility. The wizarding world doesn't seem to be big on ethics, no safe guards or anything like that.
Author's Response: That's what I always thought with SPEW. Hagrid wanted no part of it, so there had to be more to it than Hermione's righteous indignation.

I know you've read my stuff before, would I ever stop Harry from getting a nice holiday he's looking forward to? ;) This disease will be quite separate from Covid, as that hits a little too close to home. As for smokers... but they are required to socially distance. They're kept outside and can't smoke near windows or ride on planes.

Oh man, house elf rights are definitely a sticky topic, aren't they? I do not envy Harry the task of dealing with Hermione's determination on the whole thing. I look forward to seeing the results of this upcoming raid, though. Excellent chapter!
Author's Response: I was always struck by the fact Hagrid wanted nothing to do with SPEW. There had to be more to it as he's so knowledgeable about magical creatures. Thanks for taking the time to review!
