This is the best method of how to take out Voldemort and his Death Eaters I've ever read! It was done so succinctly and with no loss on Harry's side of the fight... remarkable. I'm glad Harry felt relieved it is over, that he has plans for his future and that he can take his trip to America to see Hermione with a clear conscience. I'm hoping next chapter will be about his trip and that we get to see a little more of Ron, too. All in all, well done!

Author's Response: Glad you liked "putting Tom down". It just required proper planning and all that. Yep, you get a trip but red-heads really don't start showing up until ch 10.

I find it mildly curious that Harry chose a Disillusionment charm (vs. using his cloak).

Author's Response: I see Dupree as having a bit of a swagger as a curse-breaker and he's not going to take (stuff) off of anyone he doesn't like -- and no one likes Umbridge -- so no real contest there. :) As for "green wood", I would have to assume there's a spell to dry wood so it's almost instantly stable and usable; with all the other stuff magic can do, that seems easy. :) Hmm, a "generalized self-destruct rune", yes, I can see possibilities with at that ... a person opens the door and the building falls on him. :) Augusta hoped Harry could tell her as not everything the Unspeakables do is secret; I'd mentioned the Uspeakables subduing a manticore earlier in the story and if Harry had been on that he could have told her. A Disillusionment charm was easy to do and protects the cloak; with so many people visible, it was easy for 1 person to "disappear" in order to allow said person to deliver a surprise blow.
