I'm glad Ginny managed to skip a year ahead. Can't wait to find out what kind of impact that will have. I assume Harry's conversation with Dumbledore will be enlightening, not sure yet in which way, though.
If I remember correctly, you said this story is going to be an 11-chapter story, so there are 4 chapters left. I guess that suggests the story is about to pick up speed soonish.

Am having this sense that the first 7 chapters were all of the "set-up"...which is, of course, not that unusual.
...but am also feeling that you are about to "run the table" on us in the remainder, Kevin, now that you have all of the pieces in order.
In that Ginny likely didn't fully satisfy your "gray H/G" descriptor in simply dealing with the DE's.
Now that they are a couple...a 'team" as it were...what are they going to come up with to accelerate an eventual victory? Neither seems inclined to "mess around" any further.

Author's Response: I guess it depends on what you mean by "set-up", but we have established characters, explained why a year was lost, returned to school after a productive summer, and of course we can't forget that H/G are now together. :) That being said, other things have happened too, like some dead DE's, Albus is seeing that Harry is taking control of his life at least some, etc. / It's probably not giving too much away to say "more grayness coming". :)

Author's Response: In story time it was only a 2 or 14 month wait, depending on how you look at it. In chapters, we're over half way; but yeah, it didn't come in the last chapter. :)

That's kinda sad (about Remus) -- though it isn't definite, I suppose.
It seems that Ginny has learned to be ... "selective" ... about what information she discloses to whom, and when. Which is almost certainly a good thing.
Ronnie gets an eye-roll for being so mature as to stop whining about his kid sister advancing a school year. :-)
Giving the books out as distractions worked a treat. :-)
Hmm... I wonder if Draco may have been applying pressure to his arm...
House meeting seems like an excellent idea.
Can't say as I blame Harry's dorm-mates for laughing at him. :-)

Author's Response: I can understand. When I really stopped and looked at Remus in the books, he's generally not to be found. Sure, if he's at #12 when Harry is they talked, but other than at least once in book5 I can't recall Remus really going out of his way to contact Harry ... maybe that's just my bad memory though. / Ron has a bit of hard time growing up, or so it seems to me. His fit here doesn't last too long so he can and does learn. :) / Distractions for the win! ;) / We'll have some "fun" with Draco, bwhahahaha! :) / In the books, MM came across as a pretty poor head of house, or so it seemed to me. I blame that on her holding 3 & 3/4 positions ;) (the fraction is having to cover for Albus when he's off doing his other 2 positions). So with more time she can be a better HoH and DHm (like hiring Bill to do some work for them). / A little levity & good-natured teasing by his friends seems pretty normal to me. Harry will note some other changes soon.
