That was a surprise when the basilisk popped up and saved the day! It almost makes me sorry she is dead now. I'm guessing that, based on what Hermione found in her research, when Voldemort died the horcrux in Harry has no more anchor to the living world and has passed over? I'll be looking forward to your epilog to see how everything wraps up.
