I’m not sure how to take harry and Daphne’s relationship….it just sounds so wrong, but with Harry’s life upside down I guess it could happen…nice of Ginny to allow harry the pictures of lily’s life, but sometimes pictures can’t replace a thousand words….. kutgw
Author's Response: Yeah, I took a chance adding Daphne into the mix and some people like it, some people don't. Sadly, I can't please everyone. I just didn't want Harry to be miserable and alone his whole adult life. I appreciate you taking the time to review and read my story though =)

As much as they hurt the heart, I just love stories like this. I've been reviewing over at ffn, but I wanted to say more here as well. I've always felt, as much as I like Hinny as a couple, the two of them getting together after the war never made any sense. They would both be so damaged after all they had been through, especially Harry. Not only did he have the damage of the war, but the damage of all the years of abuse and neglect by the Dursleys. Neither one of them would be in a place capable of a healthy relationship.
As much as we may wish other wise, the simple truth of life is that love does not conquer all. They would have needed time to heal, and it makes sense that they would have drifted apart while doing so.
I also believe that they would eventually find their way back to each other, no matter how many years or other lovers may come between. This story is amazing, and proves that Harry and Ginny have a love that can never really die.
Author's Response: My thoughts exactly Iron. I feel like everyone rushed to be together at the conclusion to the DH and while I understand the want to rush, I never liked it. They say that two broken people either fit together perfectly or end up ruining each other further. Hinny is my favorite pairing (followed closely by Haphne) so Harry and Ginny were always going to find their way back to each other eventually. It's also the reason why I even added Daphne in the first place. I was in the middle of writing the chapter when I was like, "Hmm, Let's add Daphne in there somewhere."
I never planned to add Daphne but I'm glad I did as it opens a lot of avenues for more character building, and who knows, maybe even another fanfic of their time together in France.

Loved the reunion with the Weasleys and that it was easier for Harry than he thought it would.
Ah, Daphne. Interesting. Seems Harry lied a bit to himself earlier when he'd claimed he'd waited for Ginny his whole life, whereas Ginny did not wait for him. I wonder if we'll ever find out why she didn't wait.
Somehow I knew Ginny would give him a photo book, lol.

Author's Response: It's not so much that Harry lied to himself or that he didn't wait for Ginny, it's more that Harry and Daphne found mutual comfort in one another when they were both hurting. Harry still loved Ginny the whole time, but after she rejected him, he had to try and move on with his life. If Harry had stayed in England, I have no doubt he would've stayed single and waited for her forever no matter how much it hurt him to do so. I didn't want Harry to be completely alone and miserable the entire time, and neither did Ginny, so I decided to add Daphne in the story.
I feel like since Harry missed out on the beginning of Lily's life, a photo album of all her milestones/achievements was the perfect heartwarming gift to give him and it paves the road a little better for a true reconciliation between him and Ginny.
