Great chapter that made me curious in many ways.
I'm curious to see how Ginny takes Harry's explanations regarding his memories from the future and if Harry's concerns are justified. The line "make up for lost time" more or less indicates that Ginny and the Ginny from the future are the same person. So Harry shouldn't have to worry about that, lol.
I'm curious about what advice Harry is hoping for from Sirius, exactly. Or rather, what advice Sirius will give.
I'm curious about Umbridge's reaction that her Dementor attack on Harry didn't have the desired effect, thanks to Kingsley.
And last but not least, I'm curious if and when Harry figures out the reasons he'd send that memory in the first place and if Dumbledore will be of any help with this.
Author's Response: I love to instill a bit of intrigue, especially at the beginning of a story arc! I like to think that the coincidence of the two versions of Ginny using similar language indicates that, even if the introduction of this memory has changed some things significantly, some things remain the same. It was an absolute joy to write the upcoming chapter that includes Sirius' advice. I'm curious to see how you like that section!
Regarding your Umbridge and Dumbledore questions, answers may take a little while but I'm hopeful they'll be resolved to your satisfaction. Thanks for dropping a comment!

This is turning out to be a great start for OotP! It's my least favorite book of the series since it starts so negatively, but you've turned the Dementor scene into something positive. Thank you. Oh, I absolutely love Harry's dilemma of how to approach writing a letter to Ginny. Hedwig being frustrated with him made me smile. I hope what he said to Ginny makes her smile a little. Well done.
Author's Response: I understand why OotP was so dark and brooding, but I didn’t enjoy the book nearly as much as the others in the series. My retelling will be a good deal less moody. I’ve spent time second-guessing what to write in a note to someone I had a crush on, so I liked channeling that insecurity into the story. I like using Hedwig as commentary on Harry’s thought process. Thanks for dropping the kind comment!

Well, Harry avoided the charge of underage magic this time! It's a good thing Kingsly was there instead of Mundungus! I'll me looking forward to your next chapter.
Author's Response: It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to figure out how to start out this arc, and getting to see Kingsley shine earlier seemed much more interesting than redoing the story we already know from canon.
