As far as "filler" chapters go, this one covers quite a lot and moves the plot along nicely. It was nice to get a glimpse of Harry and Ginny's birthdays, and life in general in Grimmauld Place. It was nice to see how Ron paired up with Fred and George and actually got along with them when Harry and Ginny tried to find some quiet time together. You did a nice job of the train ride. I've never liked that particular journey because of how Neville is portrayed. While we don't know about the properties of the Mimbulus mimbletonia, it was nice to know it exists in this particular time line. Also, thank you for having Luna explain about the Thestrals; you gave her character credibility after all the imaginative things she includes in her conversations in canon. Well done.
Author's Response: You have a knack for zeroing in on parts of a chapter that I spent extra time / effort on and you understand the challenges of different aspects of story-telling. I find your reviews exceptionally encouraging and reassuring, especially how you often notice little things that meant a lot to me while writing. Great chapter. I loved their birthday gifts - simple but so good! Harry values his friends so much, and exploring the muggle world with Ginny was the perfect idea.

Author's Response: So many fics have done wonders with creative birthday gifts, so I’m glad you enjoyed my take. Having Ginny reflect some of her father’s wonder when faced with muggle in ovation was fun, especially since I have such a deep and abiding love for both Arthur and Ginny. Here comes a new school year!
