Even with Collon Creevey making a nuisance of himself, this is a really happy chapter. I know Harry is a bit frustrated with the lack of one-on-one time with Ginny, but having her included in group discussions like the one about what Harry should concentrate on while practicing Occlumency gives him time with her. I'm glad the group was able to find something for Harry to try in his next session with Snape and that it was mildly successful. There's a silver lining to every cloud it seems...
It was nice of Sirius to pick up the group's tab at the Three Broomsticks. I had to smile when Ron went and got several desserts for the group to share after the lively discussion with Sirius and Remus. I think the afternoon was a success, especially since Harry seemed to be able to shake off most of the whispers left by the detention quill. Interesting that those quills were used for detention during Sirius and Remus' era. Well done.
Author's Response: Yeah, I get the feeling that a happy couple of that age might always be on the lookout for more time to themselves, but hoped their conversation with Demelza at the Three Broomsticks would show they’re not that annoying couple who can’t spend five minutes apart. I think Colin will calm down and be more chill eventually.
Sirius and Remus experiencing the quill back in their day helps the students and readers know that even though the punishment is harsh and worth opposing, it’s been dealt with for a long time and doesn’t have long term effects. Thanks for reading and commenting!

Ah nice to see the quill has not changed but to bad Sirius and Remus could not help in that department….also to bad to hear about being stuck with Hogwarts and umbitch for the rest of the year, on the plus at lease harry is having way more fun and enjoyment with Ginny now that he is free most of the time….kutgw
Author's Response: I figured that knowing that Sirius, Remus, James, and even Lily had experienced the Quill of Echoes might help the students feel more connection, even in a bad situation. Umbridge will be around a while longer, but there are plans for her! Time with Ginny will definitely help ensure Harry isn’t brought down by Dolores. Thanks for commenting!
