Good chapter...I like what Harry sees as the strengths of each leader of the DA and how they each contribute to the planning sessions. Their discussion of keeping the DC going in the coming year had compelling reasons unique to each individual. It made me smile when one of the stipulations was that the candidate needed to be a non-Quidditch fanatic!
Oh, Harry, it is not wise to bate Umbridge. Nothing good comes from doing so. I'm glad the Gryffindor team was able to come to a consensus that early morning practices were their best option, but I find it hard to feel sorry for those members who want to sleep in!

Author's Response: It was fun to write Harry's estimations of his friends' strengths. The DC has been a highlight for me, so it's great to know you approve of it continuing. Sure, it's not a great choice for Harry to poke at Umbridge, but he's got enough Marauder in him that it didn't make sense for me to have him keep his head down for an entire term. Sassy Harry is a canon staple! :) Thanks for leaving such an encouraging comment to boost my spirits!

Finally, I had the time to catch up reading the latest chapters. I loved them.
I'm a bit surprised that Dumbledore gives Umbridge free to let her undermine his authority by claiming he's a liar, at least indirectly, as Umbridge doesn't mention Dumbledore explicitely. I'm pretty curious as to how you're going to get rid of her. Lol.
It's not just Harry who has secrets from his friends. Sirius and partly Remus also keep secrets from Harry. Harry should be careful not to lose control to the adults. Lol.
Author's Response: While I'm not sure Dumbledore's strategy is the most helpful, I've got him employing the "don't punch down" tactic. He isn't engaging directly with someone who is below him in power / authority, allowing others to oppose her. I don't think it's as effective as he'd like, but it seems like the kind of thing he might do. I do have plans to get rid of her, though!
There are definitely some secrets still being kept, but considering how much more open the adults have been with him and with each other in this timeline, I'd say the truth has seen more of the light of day. Thanks for leaving a comment!

Im amazed the umbridge hasn’t had a heart attack yet with all the added stress she has placed upon herself….then again with all the detention happening how is she to worship her savior fudge…..as for the team well its nice to see that they are not doing to to spite Angelina but to help her in the end….kutgw
