Ooh! A reference to how the story started all those chapters ago! Thanks for subtly reminding your readers why you're rewriting the story. It seems that Harry might be connected to both universes concurrently and that he just might be dreaming of what the other Harry is experiencing. I hope we get more references to the "bad" universe while the "good" one plays out in his head in future chapters.
Again, you've done a marvelous job of tying up the loose ends from the previous school year. I'm glad Blaise is willing to show his inner Gryffindor in order to help lead the Defense Club. The fact that Umbridge ingested so much Truth Potion takes the cake for helping Harry and Sirius find the answer to their questions. That she failed Defense gave me a great giggle.
Author's Response: I love getting to surprise readers with a glimpse at the original timeline. It's nice to remind folks about the beginnings of the story and that there's more going on than what we're focused on. I probably won't check in with that timeline very often, but I do have some big plans for them eventually!
I enjoy a good falling action chapter that wraps up loose ends. I have a hard time triangulating how I want to write Blaise sometimes, but I feel good about how he played off the other Slytherins and Harry in this chapter. Hopefully, I can build off of that!
I've been looking forward to Umbridge's comeuppance for a long time. The juxtaposition of her maniacal fight for her version of "truth" and her ending up unable to prevent herself from telling the real truth felt meaningful. Thanks for the comment, and I hope you enjoy the next arc when it starts up in February!

I forget that this is a giant flash back, this ride has been going for that long….i was lost at the end of this chapter until some names showed up…even then i was still lost….glad to see that everyone is on the same page and soon the kids are going to be dealing with more issues….kutgw
Author's Response: We haven’t seen the original timeline since the previous summer after Harry and Ginny first kissed, so I wanted to showcase them as a reminder that another timeline exists. Glad it caught you off guard! There are going to be a lot of big things happening in the HBP arc, and I’m looking forward to reading your comments as it all unfolds!
