This was a really thoughtful chapter, in comparison to canon where Harry's use of the Imperius is just brushed off (although admittedly Griphook seems unconcerned). I thought the discussion of morals was a great addition! Shame to lose Kingsley though, but I'm sure we'll see more of him.

Author's Response: I'm really glad that you enjoyed the chapter! Talking through morality and questions like this isn't as thrilling as a fight scene or a quidditch match, but it was important for me to dive into the implications of what happened. As for Kingsley, we definitely haven't seen the last of him... Thanks for commenting!

Well I am glad to see everyone is starting to move on from the arguments that blew up before. But I think the lose of Kingsley is a big blow, but albus really did the ringer on him and now they have to pay the price. Like to see harry asking Kingsley his perspective on his morals….and seeing a different point of view… nice to also see that harry when he puts his mind to it can do anything…kutgw

Author's Response: Yeah, the group splintering will be really problematic. Glad you enjoyed the back and forth where Harry asked Kingsley about morals. It was challenging to write, but I feel good about it. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for getting into the psychology of why Kinsley was so angry about how morally bankrupt Dumbledore seems to be. I love his philosophy about treating everyone as a person rather than a thing to be beaten, even when his opponent is doing just that. His thoughts about Dumbledore made a lot of sense. You really found Kingsley's head and found all the reasons why I like his character to begin with.

I'm glad Remus came back and was readily accepted back into Harry's family group. Sirius knows him so well and it made sense why he'd feel he needed to separate himself after participating in the Gringotts raid and being yelled at by Kingsley.

I'm glad you ended the chapter on a high note. Both Ron and Harry earned the six OWLs they received and to have equaled his mum with his Potions OWL is definitely something to be proud of. It made me smile when Harry used backup to get his letter from Sirius. Well done.

Author's Response: It was a challenge to write the section because I didn't want it to get preachy or become more about my own morals than what made sense for Kingsley, but I ended up feeling good about how it turned out. Glad that was part of the chapter that you enjoyed. Remus has reasons to feel bad about his choices, but I like to think the people who love him best can help him come to grips with his mistakes and move past them. I had a blast writing the bit with Kreacher, and I'm pretty proud of Ron and Harry for their hard work on their OWLs. Thanks for the comment!
