I just caught up! Great chapters! Poor Harry and Ginny having to spend thier time apart :o( Its killing me ;o) LOL! I loved the duel between Harry and Hunter, I loved how Harry made him mad and then was desperate to do anything to defend himself! That was so realistic? I dunno exactly but it was a great scene. I take it when Hunter called him Quetzal nobody else heard? It wasn't very clear but I figure if Hermione heard she would of asked Harry because of course she would know it sounded familiar. Loved the chapters and I can't wait for more! Great job!

Awesome chapter! I'm a big fan of this story, but i think it may be an idea to not have us all waiting desperately for months for your next chapter. This chapter was, as they all are, a great read. Harry and Ginny's staying apart is an interesting development to watch, but i hope Ginny doesnt end up with Dean as a cover story, I definitely dont enjoy fics where Ginny is unfaithful purely for the sake of being secretive. Anywhoos, the duel between Harry and Stephen was awesome!!!!! Keep up the good work DemonSpawn

OMG i love this story so much- i spent most of the afternoon reading it! I feel so badly for Ginny and Harry!
This was a great chapter. the duel between stephen and harry was very well written and didn't seem to turn harry into a 'super-harry' which was good. I'm really looking forward to reading the next chapter! What's going to happen between Gin and Harry? I can't see them spending the next school year apart, they couldn't really manage a day!

Author's Response: I'm glad you like my characterization. I want to keep Harry human, but increase his powers. I also want to build his confidence but not make him over-confident. It's a fine line between powerful!Harry and super!Harry. As for spending the school year apart... I wanted to play with jealous Harry a bit and I've always wanted to do a fic where they have to sneak around a lot. So... it may be cliche, but that's where I'm goign for now. I don't intend to linger on 6th year long, so this won't be a big part of the coming chapters. It's just a fun subplot for now. Glad you're enjoying it.

I am so happy that you're back! I always miss this story so much and am so excited to have a new chapter. While I know Harry is feeling jealous of Dean, it's not like anything will happen with Dean and Ginny since she is with Harry. He needs to keep that in mind. She needs to be careful though in how she manages Dean and doesn't inadvertantly lead him on. Still, that had to be very difficult for Harry to listen to, especially since it wan't overly kind about him. DADA was great. I love Stephen to pieces and just felt warm at the brief exchange after the duel. With Sirius gone, Harry really needs Stephen, and I'm glad they're so close. Of course, I had a good laugh when Harry used serpensortia on Stephen. That was a bit below the belt considering how Stephen feels about snakes. Ha. Speaking of snakes, I'm glad Harry has Macoa to help soothe him. I must confess that I'm curious about what he was "learning" in his sleep. Excellent as always. I see that you updated HA as well, so I'm off to play with both versions.
Author's Response: Yes, she does need to be careful with Dean, and there's some other things coming that will make it hard for both her and Harry... but I've also got some fluffy scenes either written or planned which will make all the trouble and angst worthwhile. Stephen and Harry have some more time coming, and you'll get to learn a bit more about his reasons for hating DD. As for Macoa... she's helping Harry. She's a good character, so don't worry about her leading him wrong. There will be more about that later as well. I do so enjoy your reviews, Christine. Thanks a bunch.

Author's Response: Thank you. I did put a lot of research into this story. I like to base what I write on some facts - I find it makes the writing more meaningful and fosters my creativity. The mesoamerican culture is rich with mythology that has rarely been tapped into, so it was perfect for the backdrop of this story. SotS has taught me a lot about writing. Fanfiction has taken me from a dabbler wanna-be writer to a person who is now serious about writing my own stuff and hopefully one day seeing it published. Am I a great story-teller? I'm glad you think so, but only time will tell. I still have a lot more writing and learning to do. But thanks.
